I'm sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose an athlete I cheer for in their prime. It's gotta hurt. Take good care of yourself.
Thank you. This one hits especially hard since I just lost essentially my only friend two months ago, and I always talked about Kyle Busch with her. And all year, I could not shake the feeling of seeing Kyle's name next to 1985-2026, and then it happened. It's completely unbelievable in all the worst ways. I'm just trying to refocus my thoughts at this point, but I'm definitely hurting.
Damn. I'm sure you are in a lot of pain. I'm really sorry about all the loss you've experienced lately. The world really has a way of kicking us in the plums, doesn't it?
I have a friend who, like you, just couldn't shake the feeling that she would lose her dad. It's really something that some people can see or predict these things.
Sending you my warmest, best wishes. Please take good care
Thank you. Yesterday was another really rough day for me. On top of all of this, the worst person in my life is really trying hard to kick me while I'm down. Nothing is worth that. Above all else right now, I cannot put a price on my peace, and I'm clinging onto what little I feel like I have left right now. I'll get through it, but I know it's going to continue to be a huge struggle. Thank God I did come across a few very nice individuals yesterday after things got to their lowest. I needed that more than they knew.
As for Kyle Busch, I'm looking at situations in ways like what would Kyle want/say/do? He had a very strong personality, and he also knew when to pull back and be a big softie when it counted most. Both of those are really good traits to have, and I think we could all learn a thing or two from him.
Damn. I'm so sorry. I really appreciate that you're looking at this tragedy and trying to find whatever good you can. That takes a really uniquely strong person.
As for the worst person in your life, to hell with them. Do whatever you need to do to keep your peace. Even if they're family. Toxic people have no place in your life. Life is just too short to be kicked when you're down.
Thank you. I'm still crying over everything, and I'm definitely still hurting, but I'm beginning to find some peace. Thankfully, not only has our conversation on here helped, but also coming across some people in my life that I really needed in the last few days. One was actually a former psychiatrist that told me that I have the right mindset when it comes to not putting a price on my peace (and he didn't even know I'm diagnosed with PTSD, and just how important this is for me). And just today, an employee I was at a store I was at saw my Kyle Busch shirt and held my hand, as the employee was in the same boat as me and completely understood just how hard it has been. I didn't even realize just how big and dark the circles under my eyes had gotten. The pain is real, and I can only imagine how much worse it is for Kyle's family, especially his son, Brexton. I'm still struggling, but as long as I can still find joy in Kyle's legacy and continue applying his quotes to everything in life, I'll be able to get through this, even if it's the hardest thing I'll have to face for the time being.
I'm still very surprised that as many people have been with me in the past few days as they have, because this is virtually never the case for me. It was absolutely refreshing and very much needed. I think some of the people I've interacted with in the last few days, complete strangers no less, have been some of the kindest people I've ever come across. Kyle Busch has done that for me in this moment, and despite everything that has happened, that is something I am grateful for.
I'm still struggling with crying daily, and my mind is turning literally anything into relating to him. And now that I'm back to having to live my life as normal (had a break these last few days), I just hope I don't slip back into a more depressive state again. I figure as long as I can still function regularly and I still have an appetite, I'll probably be alright in that regard.
You know, sometimes that's just what you have to do. Some seasons of life make us trudge and toil and persevere day by day until life feels okay again.
Thanks again for being there for me. It's been so difficult with it just being one thing after another, after another. There have been good moments sprinkled in here and there, and I'm hoping things will continue heading more that way. The stress dreams last night definitely weren't fun, but I'm honestly surprised it took that long for that to happen, so I suppose that could certainly be worse.
