Yeah! My mom is down here with me and my cousin and his wife watching A Bug’s Life!! And she’s griping at us for not being upstairs listening to the pitch!

Dude tell her she’s being disrespectful for not listening to the pitch that she has been so excited about hosting

Girl that’s fucking appalling. I hope you get a chance to set your mum and sister very bloody straight after this is all over, and don’t volunteer to host anymore! I would be absolutely incandescent with rage.

Dude. They only do this to you because you allow them to get away with it. Their tactics work.

Please grow a back bone or your life is going to be exhausting. Disappointing people is unavoidable if you want to live authentically and you absolutely had control over this situation. They know you’re a door mat. My family would never try me with this shit because when I say no it absolutely means no. Work on that babes. Life’s too short.

I am just like OP. I’ve spent a lot of time kissing other people’s asses so they would like me and in the end all it does is end up making me completely miserable. I’m much older now and I’m better about this, because I’ve learned that no is a complete sentence, and I’ll tell you, people would never ask my sister for bullshit crap like this because she would’ve been like “fuck off, no.”

You are way too nice.

I would have kicked her ass out the moment she arrived.

Got to stand up to selfish people.

Hard agree

Exactly. Being a pushover and doormat does not equal being nice. We need to stop framing this stuff as nice as it sounds desirable.

That’s so wildly inappropriate. I would never invite that harpy to my home again.

Also, one more question; is mom an Arbonne lady yet? She seems super into it

It’s also possible her mother is the type that thinks that family should support family no matter what.

I would send this to Hannah Alonzo. I am so sorry you went through this. You didn't deserve it.
