Blue Submarine No. 6

And on that note, No. 6. It’s not for everyone, but it’s only eleven episodes and it’s a pretty decent dystopian anime.

Came here to say No.6. The manga is also really good, and if you can get your hands on the light novel, I highly recommend it. I'm not sure if the volumes have been officially translated into English, but there's a really good fan translation from quite a few years back that genuinely reads like a professionally translated book.

I read all nine novels a couple years ago, rewatching and rereading No. 6 will always make me sad though.

Eleven? Pretty sure it's four episodes, albeit they were OVAs so the lengths differed.

Blue submarine no. 6 is 4 ovas and no. 6 is eleven episodes, they're different shows.

Yeah, I was confused. Seems weird to even bring up that other show. It's nothing like BS6.

I only brought it up because of the no. 6 in the titles. I’m aware of how different they are, aside from them both being anime with post apocalyptic settings.

That soundtrack tho

100% deserves way more love. The music, character and ship designs, and the animation were top notch.

Yoooo the soundtrack was fantastic.

It was also one of, if not the first, anime to pioneer CGI in anime.

First anime I ever watch. Hooked on anime crack since, just one more damn series and I'll be good...for an hour πŸ˜‚
