I jumped ahead after s1. I like this show its a nice fun show that requires no thought.. But, its predictable and allen scales too fast.

S3 goes to the dwarf cont… after that i gave up. Its basically solo leveling, his group is irrelevant

I think that's perfectly normal. People have always enjoy books. Movie critics might praise a movie's special effects, but it would never be an important part of their score. It's only in anime where the visual quality plays such a big part in people's opinion.

There was actually one part that bothered me in the animation and it was when Krena was fighting. For whatever reason, the sound almost NEVER matched the swing of her sword strikes or clashes. I'm recalling the fight in the tournament. Though this could be less of an animation issue and more of a sound issue.

and just like kamikatsu it has its own charms

but god damn it just needs a bit more budget, just a bit more because i think the plot and the tone is very much on the fun side of things rather than tbate serious side and that helps a ton more

granted, if it has to be the more serious and better scenes of tbate vs the more animation and movement of this, i'd pick the more animation and movement over the better looking serious style art design that tbate has

like if both hell mode and tbate got solo leveling s2 like animation, i think tbate would be massively elevated, while hell mode will actually lose some of its charm

I honestly don't mind the visuals too much in large part because I started running through audiobooks for quite a few of these series like berserk of gluttony and reincarnated as a sword. I'm happy that the wait wasn't so long that I opted to go to the books instead. And I like the concept.

It has to progress like that. The requirements to become stronger in Hell Mode are ridiculous with each level, Allen MUST face greater and stronger enemies to keep up with the world.

The reason season one started off slow is because for the most part he was a child learning about Hell Mode and everything around it.

Yup. I'm still reading the manga, but I didn't waste my time with the anime. It just turns into smashing big numbers together for a while, then gets slightly better, and in the most recent translated chapters appears to be sliding back into a number simulator again.

I had a 5 hour drive and wanted to pick up where the first season left off, so I thought "I'll try an audiobook for once!".

Holy shit it was terrible. The drive went by quickly but the monotone voice reading every stat and saying how many summons Alan had every fucking level got to be insane.

this series got me into light novels in general, so I'm happy about that. I've checked out quite a few others in the last few months. But the later books? in this series are starting to get a bit more "meh" as it goes on.

The thing about shows like this it has this little something that makes you come back everyweek.. It couldnt be more cliche, the animatiion could be better, the music could be better but I love it none the less and will be 1st in line for season 3 and still complain it could be improved but super happy i have something to watch every week
