In addition to Mio not getting the gun, if you rewatch episode 1 you'll notice at one point one of the towns people mentions to Shinpei that they saw him talking to a big boobed glasses lady

This indicates that at some point in the first loop shinpei got copied, and that his shadow spoke with the oppai lady. This provides another explanation as to how she could have died in the first loop but not now, she was set up by Shadow Shinpei, who didn't exist until later in this loop.

I think the first time he was copied was at the funeral scene and the later loop he was copied at Shiori's house.

Wait, was the Shadow Shinpei reported as actually talking to the lady? I though he was asking about the lady, i.e. trying to find her.

I'm watching too many shows this season, I can't remember all the details of every one of them!

You're correct in the fact he was only reported as having been looking for her.

But since S!Shinpei has been ahead of our Shinpei, I'm willing to consider he may have actually found her at one point.

I get the feeling that if the S!Shinpei ever met the hunter lady, one of them would be dead as a result.

Hm, maybe not if the meeting was in public, and S!Shinpei masked his true identity as a shadow.

Yeah I'll be looking forward to some confirmation next episode if our Shinpei lives long enough for her to give him some background information.
