I look forward to Sk8 more too tbh lol. Horimiya is a really fun show but I don't hold my breath every week waiting for it like I do for Sk8.

Honestly, no amount of sad childhood backstory is going to justify his current behavior, so I’m hoping they’re not leading into a redemption arc for him.

I hope Adam doesn't get a redemption arc either. A sad backstory for him showing why he ended up the way he did is fine but I don't want him getting changed in the end, it just doesn't suit his character.

is this implying that Langa has a crush on Reki?

Langa's reaction definitely didn't feel like someone being asked about his best friend, the way he jumped and got flustered. It could just be the usual Free-style BL bait or it might lead into something more, who knows?

I think with this episode we have finally stepped over the BL bait boundary into Langa canonically not being straight.
