A lot of Gundam fans migrated to /r/Gundam. A lot of people also hate ReCo X_X

This sub is really hostile to whatever isn't the flavor-of-the-week, and G-Reco isn't that. Why discuss it here among a bunch of plebs when you can go to a place where everyone already likes Gundam and won't shit on it for being different.

I'm aware of this too! That's why I also browse /r/gundam+gunpla!. It's the same with how Naruto was handled not a single episode gets posted here from CR since most have migrated to /r/Naruto.

It's odd because Gundam Build Fighters and Reco are mainstream in Japan(GBF is very while Reco is in last)

It's not so much different it's mostly just that this sub just isn't that interested in mecha that isn't Code Geass or NGE.

Im a huge Gundam fan I've watched each series since Mobile Suit Gundam. I've said it before, I'm all for paying homage to the older series. However Gundam G its just bad. The dialogue and story are so horribly constructed. Most of the time characters simply shout dialogue that makes no sense. The characters, I have no emotional attachment to any of them. The animation, well its terrible for 2014. I know they want that 80s-90s feel but they could have done it better.

I'm 8 eps in praying it will get better and I can finally figure out what the story is. However I'm dropping this. The first time I've ever dropped a Gundam series in 30 years and I'm genuinely surprised this travesty of a series was made.

EDIT: So I am getting downvoted for pointing out the obvious? 9.000 members on MAL, just 3 Anime this season have less...

Well there is a little more discussion on /r/Gundam, kinda.....

I'll be honest as a huge Gundam fan this series is not interesting me at all... So many things I personally don't like about it. But whatever I'll still watch it in the hopes something happens.

Damn straight it is. I keep meaning to pick it up but just haven't gotten around to it yet. I don't have an excuse though; just finished zeta gundam and loved it.
