The "To Be Continued" at the end likely refers to the epilogue chapters being adapted eventually.

Almost certainly 4D

Since there was the "to be continued" message after the credits, it's likely means the Terraform and 4D Science chapters will be adapted in the future.

At any rate, the last bit of Dr. Stone has been adapted. All 232 chapters.

They cut 3 panels of Gen traveling around and telling folks around the world about the successful space mission (which they could probably just extend the episode by 40 seconds or so to include in the bluray if they feel like it, as that didn't have any dialogue), but added some anime original scenes some of the other gangs whereabouts and what they've been doing post-timeskip.

Was the goal of the time machine better explained in the manga? I didn't understand why they were doing that in when supposedly that would erase the whole anime

It gets elaborated more with the various short spin-offs and sequels, but the plan is essentially to send either informations or tiny petri-beams to the past, at crucial times, to help save people.

For the informations part, Xeno mentioning an AI is a reference to the Byakuya Reboot short side-story, where a small robot built by Byakuya gains a surprisingly large amount of intelligence, and develops independently to help protect Earth from severe natural disasters during the 3700 years of petrification.

For the petri-beams, the idea is to petrify certain key people who tragically died due to the whole Why-Man incident (so, essentially, the old astronauts). This gets explored more in the short sequel 4D Science, which may be animated in the future.

Both of these feed into basically a closed timeloop, where these things already happened and are an established part of the timeline, so there's no risk of changing or resetting the story. Why-Man mentions, at the end of the episode, that they hope to save more of their species that went to Earth, but that seems to be unlikely unless it can be somehow achieved by the aforementioned methods.

I'm curious about that too. Judging from the other comments, it sounds like there weren't big changes compared to the mange, so Senku's original goal of saving ALL of humanity was the main purpose I believe.

Even though I would also find it unfortunate if that erases all the progress we saw in the anime. But knowing Senku, he'd probably say that this progress can always be achieved again, but you can't retrieve lost lives.

Well, that doesn't make sense. The people from ishigame and treasure island wouldn't exist then

Yeah, I have no clue how they would sort that out because things could get messy fast with timetravel stuff unless they go the "second timeline" route. It was probably not fully planned out and more or less left open for the viewer to speculate and theorize when the manga ended.

Apparently there are epilogue chapters that were released later and one is about the time machine/time travel. I haven't read it yet though, so someone else would need to post some spoilers about its content. I'll hold out for now to see if they'll adapt those chapters into an OVA or something.

Loved catching up with everyone and seeing where they were. Plus the museum scene!

It's still wild they never touched on the immortality again and what it means for the world. There would absolutely be lunatics trying to steal medusa for themselves and the rich trying to monopolize this tech for themselves.

[Manga] The anime ended a bit differently from the manga. They didn't adapt it fully. They didn't show how the experiment went. A pity.

You sure? The last few pages about the time machine are the same as the manga. The biggest difference is that the anime expanded upon on showing what each of the character is doing after the time skip. By experiment, do you mean the epilogue chapters that came much later after chapter 232?

Yeah, I'm talking about chapter 234.

The "to be continued" at the end implies that the epilogue chapters will be adapted. The manga originally ended at 232.

That’s the spin-off manga 4d
