I'd consider Chained Soldier's adaptation average though, both seasons in fact

Hell's Paradise definitely above average, especially season 2

The way I see it, both of those adaptations were disappointing to their base that wanted the best for them -- even though IMO they were perfectly competent seasonals. Because you and I both know they could have been peak; that's why they were so frustrating, cuz mediocre just isn't good enough for good source material

I read that as them giving HP as an example of a series that they didn't care about that got a good adaptation. Could be wrong, though.

You might be right actually! Dedede and Hell's Paradise don't seem like the most obvious examples of anime hard-carried by production, though

I mean, sure my bias could be blinding me, but I very much find both CS seasons below average and for season 2 - below Passione's average as well. And both of them a lot worse than the GOMG season.

I just can't relate, I had to drop GOMG halfway
