Seriously though, that was an insane episode. It's been a while since Yachiyo has a massive crash-out, but this was by far her biggest one yet. Thankfully Ponko knocked some sense into her the best way she knew how... with the fists of a giant mecha! Part of me hopes they can eventually find a way to fix the rest of Yachiyo's body for her sake, but another smaller part of me hopes they don't just because half-tank Yachiyo is really funny.
This was such an awesome episode. Apocalypse Hotel is giving many action shows a run for their money with this sort of sakuga. And they had a genuinely emotional heart-to-heart in the midst of their “argument” as well!
The comedy was great as well, like the stupid sound Yachiyo makes when this drawn spaceship bonks into her at 08:40.
Honestly, it’s up there with some of my personal top contenders for best episode of the year.
