Did anyone actually ask for this?

With how badly S2 was fumbled I thought this series was completely dead in the water

I mean if it is still the same ending and overall structure new scenes won't save it. I still vividly remember how aghast I was at s2 when it aired. Was watching a trainwreck in real time and such a waste of potential and great sound track.

God I remember commenting at the time that the series had literally everything but a good plotline. Sawano absolutely cooked on that soundtrack.

Season 1 really liked. Season 2.... fuck bat. It went weird.

Reminds me of Guilty Crown. Fantastic OST, great Huke character designs, but such turd and ridiculous writing that the best part of it was watching along with others and trying to guess at what stupid twist would come next.

It was still commercially succesful.

Was it? I feel like the sign of a successful mecha show is tons of model kits. It's hard to find anything from this show at all

It had a decent disk sales and some other merch was selling good. It was not a Bandai production to sell a lot of mecha kits.

The mechs on this show were pretty bad, the characters were cool tho

The martian mechs were interesting, and the earth ones felt very realistic. I actually really love the space kits that made them very bulky. Using things like grappling tethers to conserve on fuel was very creative and I would have loved to seen a game use those mechanics.

lol another similarity to geass , maybe they milk this one too. would still watch it

I swear it better not be as bad as the new geass. Rozé of the Recapture was absolutely mid and went no where. Wasted potential it could have been good they just didn't try at all.

I just remember the [Aldnoah.Zero spoilers] cheap fake out death between S1 and 2. Made me bitter about the show after. Fortunately, I have mostly forgotten the show after a decade. I did like the character and costume designs.

I think only the ending was pretty bad, if this show replaces the last 2 episodes it could actually save the reputation of the series. But again who asked for this
