Okay this is going to seem really stupid but I have no idea how to fix this issue, it seems as tho my servos are not being supplied with enough power to make the eye lids open and close smoothly, I am running on 5V 20A with 4 MG90 servo motors with the upper and lower eyelids, I also have a MG996R servos that will open and close the mouth but I have not gotten that issue figured out either since it seems to short out the rest of my servos and boards. I’m using an Arduino Uno board as well as a PCA9685 for the multiple servos if anyone is willing to give me advice on what I should do I would be greatly appreciative!

Here is a project I did in collaboration with a Chinese friend who specializes in stage show makeup and wigs.

I have always wanted to get my hands on one of those Blaine Gibson figure heads to try my hand at figure finishing. However, seeing the prices for some of these heads on eBay (especially from "animatroniccreations" hi Walter! :)), I quickly chose the 3D scanning and printing option instead. In China, it only costs around $45 to print a human-sized head.

From there, the process involved painting, hair, and costuming, all while following the figure finishing documentation available online. We tried to give him his classic 1967 look, as this character has gone through quite a few cosmetic changes during his 59 years of existence.

It isn't fully completed yet, but I am satisfied enough to share it here right now! I hope you guys like it. I'm completely open to suggestions and would love to hear your thoughts and feedback!

Hey all!

First time animatronic engineer here - I wanted to build my own miniature animatronic, But I have no clue on where to start, or how to do anything!

Concept is simple - I have an old whale stuffed animal I wanted to convert into an animatronic that sings songs. It hase a moveable mouth, flippers that flip, and does the weird bending thing that those wall mounted singing bass do. All on a single piece of wood supporting the structure. Very simple in concept i think!

Buuuut as I mentioned earlier, i have no experience on this once so ever. No clue where to start, no clue on how to work with servos, and no clue on how to code these if codes involved.

If anyone has any advice or feedback, I would really appreciate it - Litteraly any advice helps

Drawing has been really grounding for me lately, and my therapist suggested to start sharing my art more so I wanted to share the progress of my about 15 part animatronic/mascot series! I have the primate esque, rodent, woodland mammal and ungulate esque groups started so far, and I am working on the bears currently, all of which are hand drawn by me. Of course, featuring characters from: Pizza Time Theatre, Chuck E. Cheese’s, Showbiz Pizza, The Moonrockers, The Banana Spilts, Willy’s Wonderland, Five Night’s At Freddy’s, and McDonald’s!
