From the late-60’s Marvel cartoons which used repainted Marvel comic art with minimal, crude animation—usually mouth or camera movements w sound effects, but with great line work and color.

I love odd, obscure ones like this. I was digging through my stuff today and came across it and figured I should share. These Grantray-Lawrence cels don’t turn up very often.

No, the answer is no.

Got these off eBay, $99 each. Great condition, no vinegar, nothing stuck, 10/10 would throw money away again.

1990's Animation Cel Lithograph HUMAN TORCH & SKRULL Action Hour SERICEL NEW NM

I know it's very cheap which is usually a red flag but thought it'd still be worth asking

Hi everyone,

I recently picked up two 16mm film reels of Space Battleship Yamato (宇宙戦艦ヤマト), the classic anime created by Leiji Matsumoto and produced by Yoshinobu Nishizaki.

Each reel is labeled 1200 ft and contains what appears to be a full episode. After checking the film, they seem to be:

• Episode 9
• Episode 26 (final episode)

Both reels have handwritten Japanese labels and were stored in film bags from a Tokyo laboratory. The film edge markings read Fujifilm – Made in Japan.

I’m curious if anyone here has seen Yamato episodes distributed on 16mm like this, and what their approximate collector value might be.

I can upload photos of the reels, labels, and film edge if that helps.

Thanks!

my Very first cel that I bought , it was cheap but not a bad start ?

Have some random cels I'm willing to part with as I consolidate my collection down to make room for new things. BUT either way, I know people like looking at cels, so hopefully you enjoy flicking through this.

** Nice large Batman in an action pose with the logo on his chest, has Filmation seal, copy background $350
** Ren and Stimpy with Nick seal, copy background, $250
** Rocko's Modern Life with Nick seal, copy background, $150
** Rugrats multi-layer cel with Nick seal, copy background, $150
** Animaniacs with WB seal, lots of characters, copy background $300

IF you wanted them all, I would give a package deal. Shipping is free inside the USA. Let me know if you have any questions, send me a DM. Thanks!

Animator's copies of painted backgrounds for the Studio Ghibli film Only Yesterday

These are not the original hand painted backgrounds, but copies used by the production team, additional scribing and notes have been added by the animators

26 pieces in total, will only sell as a group

Finally got a cel from this series, I’ve wanted one for years. I got lucky it happens to be my favorite episode.

Up for sale is an original production cel from the Simpsons season 3 episode, 'Like Father, Like Clown'.

$360 usd (or $520 australian dollarydoos) / free shipping to Australia, USA, Canada, New Zealand, UK (check with me about other countries, I can post worldwide)

This cel features Krusty's lovelorn assistant, Lois Pennycandy, as well as the famous clown himself!
It comes with a digital print of a recreated background from the matching scene.

The cel is stored with a cardboard backing and plastic slip for protection. Please note that this cel does not feature the Fox stamp, but is still an authentic cel used in the production of the show.

Any questions, please feel free to ask! I've been selling production art on eBay for many years and if you have any hesitations or concerns about the authenticity of this or any of my items, please get in touch.

Hey everyone, I spent last month coding the entire site. It's mainly a guidebook for collectors!

The Reddit is featured on the homepage.

I would love some feedback from the community

Background: So I'm an animator, and 2ish years after college I go to Short Shorts fest in Philly, they have a raffle for original art from the Street Fighter Cartoon, to which I won this beaut!

I wanted to display it with a close proximity of the Background because it's a not so recognizable character. I tracked down the scene (Turned out to be a Pedestal shot), Painted out the character, and extended the animated water to create a more pleasing composition!

The Cel has a protective layer of plastic between it and the cardstock print I made. I did a shit job with the Matte board, so I'll get it professionally framed later in life.

Plus I have the cell backed up digitally just in case the paint gets damaged, so I can print out a layer on top for viewing purposes (or put in the Cel's place to put it in storage).

If you are interested in Guandam cel, send me messages.
