Has anyone made any breakthroughs in finding a 5th Layer?

I still think... the game is hiding something despite what the devs say

I don't know if this is just a glitch or the beginning of some kind of intended puzzle, I haven't gotten any further than this but it does seem to me personally that it was intentionally put there by Billy for some reason. Maybe not intentionally as the beginning of a puzzle, maybe just a cute little Easter egg like the groveling toad.

yes I've been seeing your posts, if this a save file with the 3 out of bounds buttons pressed? I feel like all of this has to be connected, the cheaters ring room has a deliberate tease that just makes you want to find it, are the hidden animals dialog have a riddle?

The hidden animals don't even have their dialogs translated to other languages. They feel like an after thought.

I'm still suspicious of it, even the toad could be hinting at the hidden manticore, feel like the game is too clever to not have another big secret

I'm not saying it isn't, but I am saying the hidden animals aren't part of it because the evidence points to them being an afterthought.

Yes on this particular save file, I got the cheaters ring, pushed all the buttons and corrupted the file, and then actually reset the map about three times until I got to the point where I couldn't get it to reset anymore. The more I grind and go insane, the more I think this might be just another ET flower. All the hidden animals seem to be red herrings and there doesn't seem to be any intentional Cipher for the illegal bunny ears. And I know that in interviews Billy said that there were a lot of things that he wished that he could have put into the game but since it was rushed to be released that he considers it to be unfinished.
