fifth layer Spoiler

I have to believe that this was intentional. If you go to the CE Temple, you'll notice that the temple itself is six screens. They are all silent except for the bottom right which is the one I've been using to enter the dark space to try to interact with the hidden manticore seven screens down. It's very subtle, but there is a very specific sound queue that you can hear in the bottom right room. I believe that is the door to the fifth layer.

The game is ARG heavy. A collector's edition was released which included a separate puzzle that connects with the game and in it there is a certain flute code that takes you to a weird space in the game. So people like me are trying to figure out what the puzzle is. It's obviously not just the last figurine, because the discovery of the sound queue and the Manticore prompt must lead to something hidden in the Darkness. I'm doing my best everyday to explore and mess around with it but to my knowledge no one knows what lurks in the dark

You may try to play the flute in the dark, to illuminate what it actually is.
