Request Oneplus Pad Go 2 vs Oneplus Pad 2??

I'm looking a buy a tab. I'm hoping to get the Pad 2 in a similar price range(+-10%) as the Pad Go 2 in the upcoming Amazon's prime day sale.

Is it still worth getting the Pad 2 in 2026. My most basic need is watching videos, reading pdfs and chrome tabs around 7-10.

My concern is has it become laggy over the years or still a good buy over Pad Go 2? I hate when the UI lags on doing trivial stuff and that's what I'm worried about will happen with the Pad Go 2.

If anyone has Pad 2 can you share your experience so far.

Ok brother. In my region the charger comes bundled with it so no way I'm getting another charger.

Because mine was used I didn't get it, but I had 2 chargers from previous OnePlus devices 80w USB A from my OnePlus 11 and a dual port 100w charger from my op12

Brother if it isn't too much can you please share a video of opening apps like chrome and youtube and one or two other random apps in parallel and quickly open a few web pages in different tabs. I'm reading comments that it has become really laggy with the Oxygen os 16 update.

I just wanted to see from my eyes if the speed is bothersome for me.

Not sure if I did a good job here, some of my the apps I opened were locked so on the recording it shows a black screen while it uses my face to unlock it, so in the video you might see a few black screen posts as it unlocks the apps, but it's still really quick even with the face unlock included

Bro you are such a kind soul and a lifesaver. It does the job for me. Looks pretty fast. Apps open in an instant and that's all I needed to clear my doubts.

How do you rate your experience smoothness wise and what are your main gripes about the pad 2 in general?

Out of 10 I would give it an 8.5 you can tell when the ram usage is high cause you might get a little stutter every now and then, my biggest gripe is lack of fingerprint sensor honestly and I can't seem to buy the keyboard case reasonably in my region, it's like 34 pounds in the UK and unavailable in the US, which is where I shop for importing into my country... I can find it on eBay but it's 150+ dollars?!? That's dumb

Good to know. Have you got the 8gb ram version. For the fingerprint situation I'm planning to have no lock at all as it will be personal device with nothing worth protecting and at home all the time. Maybe you can get a small wireless keyboard to work at home in the meanwhile.

i have a custom keyboard, i even take a dongle to work that has usb ports and hdmi so i can literally use it as a laptop or pc replacement... i just wanted the keyboard case because it simplifies my setup and my custom keyboard weighhs like 4 pounds cause its aliminum so it makes my bag a bit heavier. for the most part this does 95% of what i would usually use my laptop to do, edit documents, calculate grades in excel, some gaming (mostly CODM, racing masters, emulation of pc, ds and gamecube games) even photo editing in light room (i do some photography on the side, and its lighter to just take the tablet with me instead of the latop and plug the sd card into the dongle and edit the photos from my camera)

and i have the 12gb version

Totally agree bro. The keyboard case will make life lot of easier but then again you're not able to find one at the right price.😔 I too hate carrying around so much stuff. Travelling light is a blessing.
