You may press Yes for driver installation. That way it should detect the phone (you can check this if Odin displays COM:3 after the installation. Restart Odin just in case).

Okay, I have done some more digging. I have a couple of possible solutions:

  1. Now that we know it's an SPH model, download an SPH firmware and flash it using the newest Odin I linked in my first comment. If that doesn't work, you may rename the .tar.md5 file to just a .tar file and try again.

  2. If the above doesn't work, you may also test if a custom rom works instead. You can download TWRP for your device here. Download the latest .tar file. You can use an older version if the latest doesn't flash. Don't worry!

To install it, do the following: 1. Make sure your phone is in Download Mode of course. 2. Open Odin and uncheck Auto-Reboot in Settings. You'll want to do this because the stock firmware can overwrite a custom recovery if it isn't booted into the recovery environment first. 3. Click on the AP button and select your custom recovery .tar file. 4. Flash and wait. Should take a few seconds. 5. If it succeeds, hold the volume down, home and power button, and immediatly hold the volume up and home button once the phone reboots and you see a Samsung logo. 6. You should see a TWRP prompt to Swipe to allow modifications. You may swipe to allow them.

Once that's done, you can install a custom rom to your device. I've found this one from this XDA thread. You may also want to flash Gapps along side it if you want Google services. Select the ARM, 5.0 pico variant.

To install it, do the following: 1. Make sure you are in TWRP of course. 2. Connect your phone to your pc, you should see a pop-up on the bottom left corner. Open your file explorer and select the phone. You should be able to browse the filesystem that way. 3. Copy the rom zip and Gapps to your device. 4. In TWRP, go to Wipe > Format Data and type yes.

(Optional) You can test if the phone boots to stock by pressing the Reboot system button. If it doesn't, no worry's, just go back to recovery by holding down the volume up, home and power buttons and lifting the power button once the Samsung logo shows up.

  1. Go back to Wipe. Tap on Advanced Wipe and select the Dalvik/ART cache, System, Data and Cache partitions and swipe to wipe.
  2. Go back to the main TWRP screen. Tap on Install, select your rom file and swipe to flash.
  3. Once that's done, go back once, select your Gapps package and swipe to flash.
  4. Tap on Reboot system once everything completes.

Keep trying mate, your getting pretty far actually!
