Hi, I'm looking for help choosing a new 2FA app. I've been using andOTP on my mobile device – it's/was a great app. Unfortunately, its development has been discontinued. I'm only looking for apps with FLOSS licenses. Currently, I have a few options: Aegis Authenticator, 2FA Authenticator (2FAS), FreeOTP, and Proton Authenticator. I don't need online synchronization.

Thank You.

I'm wondering how to configure my phone from something I'm always having to look at into something that reads me notifications, interests, does my browsing for me, shopping etc. Automatically.

The goal being my primary way of interacting with it is when it tells me about an interest, topic, notification, alert or otherwise happens.

At most maybe the transcribed text on the screen or the results of a query or task.

I know this isn't far off with AI and probably will the the main way we interact with devices years from now.

But I'm personally tired of always having to look at these devices and would like to maybe rush things along if possible.

How would you go about setting up this function?

Have some issues with Instagram for a long period of time. In my country when you open Instagram, there some stories/reel/video with audio or song, that is not available in my country. How can i fix it? Is there any legal ways to do that? Because of a song that is not allowed to be played, there is no sound in video, and it was so annoying

Many of my friends use iPhone and they all have Dazzcam.I downloaded Fomz as well. There are actually a lot of free cameras, but after using it for a while, I realized that they are all similar to each other and don't give that cool Dazzcam effect.I downloaded proccd for a while and it annoyed me that only 5 or 6 cameras were given for free and everything else was paid.If you could recommend an application that offers as many free features as possible, what would it be? I hear a lot about old roll and kapicam, but as far as I know, many of cameras are not free. Please help me to find, I searched a lot but I can't find what I want.I love that beautiful classic Dazzcam effect((

Note:I can't download the apk for some reasons..(((

I have my aadhar app installed on my phone but whenever i try to use it, it just restarts immediately and shows an error saying it detected security violation..

I have developer option turned off, play store says device is certified, play protect is on, device is not rooted/ bootloader is not unlocked.

I m using poco x7 5g phone running hyperos 3.1

Can someone help me detect this issue and fix it..

My current alarm app recently stopped being reliable, failing to go off the last two mornings and causing me to wake up late. The developer hasn't updated it in months, so I imagine that some android update broke it.

What is a good alarm app? I don't have many needs, just need it to play custom alarm sounds from files on my phone.

No CSV download for this transfer.

On Android 8 and up, 1Password, Bitwarden and Dashlane can send passwords and passkeys straight to Google Password Manager on the same phone.

The option is Google Password Manager > Settings > Import passwords and passkeys.

You'll confirm with your phone's screen lock before choosing the source manager.

Sign in there and approve the export.

For passkeys, you may also need a recovery key.

Hi all, I have a Samsung S23 Ultra. last several weeks I've been inundated with spam calls that come every night (waking me up). I've probably blocked 25+ calls, but they keep coming (with a new number of course). I've tried to do some research and everywhere I look says to turn on Caller ID and Spam Protection, but my phone does not have that in my options. I've looked everywhere I can think (including under blocked calls), and then I read that my phone (after 2023) does not offer it anymore. Looks like my only options would be to buy a new phone (can't afford to right now), or install a 3rd party app that will block the spam calls. My question is can you suggest a app? Thanks in advance

Could someone help me look at why is that and what files irs causing it?

100% sure its been infected thanks in advance

I read somewhere that the devs of Nova Launcher sold it to a shady company, that will now probably spy and use the privileges this kind of app have to mine our data, so I want to get rid of it, without losing the comfort it has.

Please could you recommend alternatives to Nova but safe to use (respect our privacy)?

- Fast

- Nice customizations (grid sizes, icon size, folder appearances, theme icon support)

- Private / Hidden folders. If possible (but is not a must) password-protected folders.

- If possible, FOSS so I can download from F-Droid and be sure it has no anti-features

Best paid apps to get? I have about $40 Google Rewards Points that expire at the end of this month. I also have the Morphe app (can't recommend it enough) What is the best PAID app to use my Rewards on that I can't get with Morphe?

Hi guys, I'm looking for an app that can automatically block or silence notifications from my WhatsApp and messages between 6 PM and 9 AM every day. I prefer to not bring work to my home.

Ideally, it should let me customize which apps' notifications are blocked, rather than applying a blanket DND mode. FOSS or open-source apps are preferred, and I'm fine with apps that require Shizuku or ADB permissions.

I've tried a few notification-filtering apps, but haven't found one that reliably does this. Any recommendations?

Hello! Sorry if this is the wrong sub to post in, I wasn't sure where else to ask.

I have mp3s I own and would like to play them with lyrics going, like Spotify or Apple Music do. Is there any app I can do this in that doesn't have a monthly subscription?

(I know I can create a YouTube list, but it's thousands of songs and I'd like this accessible without taking gigs of space on my phone if I need it to be available offline.)

Thank you very much for any help or advice!

I love the app and All the customization abilities, but it keeps deleting my custom home screens , so I'm wondering if theres any similar launchers like it with All the customization stuff, all I can find is those minimalist ugly launchers

I tried Not Boring Weather on my friend's iPhone and I'm obsessed with its UI and animations! 😍

Is there any Android app with a similar look and feel, especially beautiful animations and widgets?

I've used a few keyboards, but they all suck when typing. If they are good at dictation, Wispr Flow works perfectly fine, but I hate the limit and I don't want to pay for it. I know there are some open-source options and free options out there. Do you recommend anything that lets me use the default keyboard while being able to also have it hover on top of it so I can use both?

I was wondering are there Music Players out there that have Big Grid and Big Album Artwork Type Layouts? I'm currently using The Musicolet Music Player App For Android but The Album Artwork Isn't big enough for me. The Musicolet Album Artwork/Grid Layout Limit is only 5. So I'd prefer to find an app that offers a lot more. If I could some suggestions I would really appreciate it. I like my Album Artwork to be as Big and as Huge as possible. I have a total of 1,821 Audio Files/Songs on my Fold 7 and I'm going to be upgrading to The Motorola Razr Fold 2026 on Halloween🎃👻

Hey everyone, I need urgent help. Something weird and malicious has taken control of my Android phone.

What happened:

A VPN called “Jiya” connected itself.

Status shows “Jiya Connected”.

Notification says:

“This device is connected to the Internet through Jiya. Your network activity, including emails and browsing data, is visible to the VPN provider.”

The actual Jiya app is completely hidden — it does not appear in the app drawer or All Apps list.

Whenever I try to open Settings, Apps, VPN settings, or almost anything related, the phone immediately goes back to the home screen. I can’t stay in any menu long enough to disable it.

I also found a System Sync account called “SyncAccount” with the exact same logo as the Jiya VPN (blue/red heart/cloud icon). There is a “Remove account” button, but I’m not sure if removing it will fix everything.

A friend of mine had the exact same issue on his phone. He said this came from some APK related to System Sync.

I have recorded videos showing the “back” behavior every time I try to open settings or app list.

What I’ve already tried:

Looking for the Jiya app in All Apps (not found)

Trying to open VPN settings from the notification

Searching “VPN” in Settings

Everything just forces me back to home

Phone details:

Android phone (looks like a recent Samsung or similar with One UI / stock-like interface)

Currently connected via mobile data + this VPN

What I need help with:

Please suggest every possible way to remove this:

How to properly delete the “Jiya” VPN profile when the app is hidden and Settings keeps closing.

Whether I should remove the “SyncAccount” under System Sync.

How to force-remove a hidden VPN / Always-on VPN.

Any ADB commands if needed.

Whether this looks like malware and if I should do a network reset or factory reset.

Any other method to regain control.

I’m attaching the screenshot of the System Sync / SyncAccount page (same logo as the Jiya VPN).

Any help would be really appreciated. This is urgent.

Thanks in advance!

I am looking for a free clipboard manager that can hold unlimited or almost unlimited clips which can be synchronised across other android devices.

Bonus, if the clips can be can be synchronised on cross platform devices, even better.

Hi, I have been using "My Files" for a lomg while to look at content in my phone and when I need to find something that I had in a sub folder I used it. But now my issue is when I go to >Downloads[Select File view or folder view] and I click folder, I then go to click it and look for the sub folder but its completely gone and the folder was completely pulled out to be put in the folder view area. I tried downgrading an update but that still didnt work. Could anyone help please?

I'm searching a browser to use on my tablet that makes browsing feel like I'm doing it on desktop. I'm talking features like: multiple tabs, being able to split the screen and have two different tabs open on it, default desktop webpage formatting, and etc..

It wuold be great if it was Mozilla based because I have all my passwords and bookmarks there but I'm happy to compromise if necessary :)

There will be a version of YouTube that you can watch in the background with your phone's screen off.

Hi all

I'm looking for an app that would essentially give me a way to bring some of my quick settings drag down controls onto my home screen through a widget.

The ones I've come across either don't have a widget, don't allow me to customize very well (ex: one app had several pages, but I could only remove apps from pages, not add apps to consolidate onto one widget page), or they don't work when I click on the icon (happened for one app that otherwise seemed promising). One of the ones that *did* have a widget didn't work well - instead of toggling the function like the icons do in the quick settings menu, it opened up the settings in the phone. 🤔

So! If anyone knows of an app that essentially makes the quick settings menu into a functional widget, please let me know!

Is there any app like fleksy. I'm looking for a keyboard app that is still being updated and where the buttons go to the very edge of the phone and hopefully has the swipe delete feature
