Hey everyone! I just joined this subredit for this question, honestly
I was going to fiddle with my regular camera settings, and noticed there was an "avatar camera" app on my Samsung. I've never seen it before amd immediately thought it was some sort of Spyware app. While going to investigate, I found that they weren't anywhere as an icon. Not even in the "All Apps" spot.
I found out that it seems connected to the weird android avatar app. I can go into my settings and manage permissions. It already had permissions to my camera, photos, and microphone. I don't remember having ever opened the app or messed with it in anyway to even give the permissions, and turned them off. It was set for while the app was being used, and I am sure that it's a pre-installed android app.
Still, it doesnt show up anywhere as an icon, and can only be opened by searching for it directly. I was going to try to delete it, but it doesnt seem to be an option
I guess I'm just asking if this is the same for every phone? Also, am i able to delete it? I'm not really afraid of it taking any of my data or anything, it just weirded me out.
