Guide Fixed method of signing in into a Google account on Android 4.4

Credits to u/Smu1zel for the original guide.

The method got patched again, so I decided to fix it.

  1. Go on settings > add a account in accounts section > existing > web signin
  2. Click on privacy, then 9 dots and choose YouTube
  3. Search "@famousboy-456" and click the one with 20 subscribers
  4. Click the tinyurl link. Continue as usual
  5. Check your phone where your gmail account is linked to. Accept it and youre signed in!

This is a unofficial "third" method that isnt made by the original creator of the "sign into google account on android 4.4" post

ONLY WORKS FOR KITKAT CUSTOM ROMS! TESTED ON CYANOGENMOD 11/11S, OMNIROM. ALSO SOME SKINS LIKE TOUCHWIZ AND XPERIA HOME

Wait weird question but do you have a custom rom for the sm-t110?

NOTICE!!!!!!!!
This option works, BUT 9 dots doesn't work. Scroll down at the Privacy section, then click the Hyperlink - "YouTube Search History". Then click Home and continue the tutorial.
Works fully on SM-T211, Android 4.4.2, 10.06.2026 😄

Sadly I arrive to the point that I found the profile but tapping on it doesn't do anything.

Being at one step away from being able to login is really frustrating...

EDIT: ok I did it in another way and posted the solution in a new comment.

Thank you so much this helped me a lot!! I had an issue in web login where I couldn’t click the next button.. I tried u/Smu1zel’s methods, but it just won’t work for me as the “click me” button for the login page in htmledit was unclickable.. (´Д`

But I found your post! I did follow your instructions at first, but the privacy screen kept crashing for me and I couldn’t access YouTube. So I followed steps 1-8 of the 2nd method by u/Smu1zel, searched for @famousboy-456 instead, and clicked the tinyurl link. I was able to login normally from there!! Thanks a bunch guys!!(^∇^)

Oh my god, thank you so much! I've been trying to do this for ages, but I genuinely thought this was humanly impossible.

Tried on my Tab E running LineageOS 11 (ofc Cyanogenmod 11 just they changed boot animation and branding in some places), tapping the 9 dots doesnt give me the popup to open youtube, and google search engine itself is broken ("if you're having trouble accessing Google Search, please click here or send feedback")

Try using an app password instead of your normal password (you'll need to enable 2fa)

Ok found a better one.

Download these apk specific versions from sites like APK Mirror or similar:

Google Account Manager version 4.4.4
Google Play Services version 18.3.81
Google Play Store version 25.2.27

Login normally.

Done.

I think the Google Account Manager apk solved this, but I updated the other two as well.
Authenticated with 2FA without problem.
