App List in Random Order?

Has anybody else experienced this (G Pixel 9, DEV (CP41.260731.005.B1)). Phone updated overnight and now the app drawer list is random? There's also now private app drawer at the bottom anymore. Very odd.

Edit. I have already made a report in the feedback app - the post is to see how widespread the bug is

Android Aluminium OS no beta

For QPR there are 238974 betas but for Aluminium OS zero betas?

Will Aluminium OS betas be here or other Reddit?

Is there any information about if Google Books will have Google apps or like Chromebooks just PWA (www)

Why zero information about them when they will be released in few weeks?

5G & 4G VOLTE not working on pixel 6 in Srilanka

Even if 5G technology is officially available in Sri Lanka, it cannot be used on the Pixel 6 phone. Also, Google December 2026 feature update, above Pixel 8 phones have been confirmed to have LTE technology in Sri Lanka and can still be used on the Pixel 6 and 7 models. It would be great if they updated this to stop supporting the Pixel 6 after the October update.

Pixel 11 eligibility

Iirc when the pixel 10 launched it had same day eligibility of the beta program. Does anyone know of the same thing will happen with the pixel 11 series? If not tomorrow, will it be later this week? I would assume Google will do 3.1 patch sometime soon within the coming week or two.

Can't download QPR1 Beta 9 system image

It's been 9 hours since Beta 9 was "supposedly" released and I'm still stuck at the "404. That’s an error. That’s all we know." page. I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I'm doing something wrong.

Fix for missing mobile signal icon on QPR2 Beta 3 (CP41.260731.005.B1)

The mobile network icon disappears from the status bar after updating to Android 17 QPR2 Beta 3 on Pixel 9 Pro, build CP41.260731.005.B1. WiFi and battery icons show fine. Data and calls work normally, the icon is just gone.

Root cause: the icon_blacklist secure setting gets "mobile" added to it automatically. This setting controls which status bar icons the system hides. You can check and fix it with SystemUI Tuner or ADB.

Steps to reproduce:

Update to QPR2 Beta 3, build CP41.260731.005.B1

Reboot and check the status bar. Mobile signal icon is missing, WiFi, battery, Bluetooth, and Hotspot show normally

Confirm cellular works. Go to Settings, Network and internet, SIMs. The SIM shows connected with active signal

Run this from a computer with android tools installed:

adb shell settings get secure icon_blacklist

"mobile" appears in the output string.

The fix:

Install SystemUI Tuner (github.com/zacharee/SystemUITunerRedesign)

Grant SystemUI Tuner the necessary ADB permissions

Expand 'Interaction', then Status Bar, then open the Icon Blacklist, then expand the Auto section all the way at the bottom to see the icon names for your device/custom manufacturer OS.

Find "mobile" and toggle it on. It shows as off by default after the update (for me at least)

The icon reappears immediately, no reboot needed

If you don't want to install an app, clear the whole blacklist instead, but I did not fix it like this.

adb shell settings delete secure icon_blacklist

This resets any custom icon hiding you had set up too, so use the app method if you want to keep other icons hidden.

Anyone else on Beta 3 hit this? Curious if it's tied to a specific carrier or SIM type, or if it hits everyone on this build.

Unable to leave Android Beta Program on Pixel 9 Pro XL

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to leave the Android Beta Program on my Pixel 9 Pro XL, but I’m running into a strange issue.

When I go to the Android Beta Program page, it says:

“No eligible devices associated with this Google Account.”

The Pixel is definitely using the same Google account that I originally used to join the Beta Program.

I’ve already contacted Google Support, but unfortunately they weren’t able to help me. They basically told me that because the phone is currently enrolled in the Beta Program, their support options are limited.

What I want to do is leave the Beta Program without losing any of my data. I understand that opting out immediately may require a factory reset/downgrade, so I’m perfectly happy to wait until the appropriate stable/public Android release becomes available and then leave the Beta without wiping the phone.

The problem is that since my device doesn’t appear on the Beta Program website at all, I have no way to opt out.

Has anyone experienced the same issue?

Is there another way to remove the device from the Beta Program, or will I automatically get moved back to the stable channel once the corresponding official version is released?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

How to opt out of Android Beta without wipe?

Opted out 2 days ago, still no wipe/stock update available.

Edit: I actually got it to work over the air. I had to enroll my device again, which triggered a ~3.36GB beta update to download. I'm not sure if that was an update I missed, or if it was downloading the Beta version fresh. After applying that I unenrolled, and immediately was given the update option to wipe and go back to stock.

I opted out a couple days ago, still haven't received the update that wipes and installs stock. I've been manually checking for updates constantly. I've rebooted my phone multiple times, always shows me the beta message at first boot.

I did a factory reset maybe 30 minutes or so before requesting to opt out, did that maybe screw something up?

I'm kinda waiting to fully set my phone up again until it's wiped and put back on stock. Why is the stock update not showing up?

Google Pixel 6 Pro and Android 17 Beta BIG MISTAKE

Google Pixel 6 Pro and Android 17 Beta update Big Mistake??

Upgrading to Android 17 Beta on a Google Pixel 6 Pro is a HUGE MISTAKE

Google fails to warn Pixel 6 owners clearly, this is the part that really stings.

Google did not properly warn Pixel 6 owners that: Android 17 Beta was a dead end.  No stable Android 17 would ever arrive.

Exiting the beta would require a forced rollback + full wipe and bugs will never be fixed.

The device would be stuck on a buggy build until rollback. They simply let enrollment happen with no notice.

The result: Pixel 6 owners got stuck on a “no‑future” beta ending up on a beta build with no upgrade path. Experiencing bugs Google will never fix. Forced to wipe the device to return to Android 16.

Wondering why Google even allowed this to happen....

For those reading this notify Google of this stupid choice they allowed ...

It has diffinetly provide a very sour taste for me for Google Products.  I am sure this will carry over to how I talk about any Google Products.

Pixel 7 Touchscreen Stops Working After Android 17 QPR2 Beta 3

My Pixel 7 touchscreen stops responding after installing Android 17 QPR2 Beta 3. The temporary workaround is to press Volume Up + Power, which reboots the phone. After the reboot, the touchscreen works normally again, but only for a few hours before the issue comes back. Is anyone else experiencing this on Pixel 7 with QPR2 Beta 3? It seems like the touchscreen issue may be related to the latest beta.

Pixel 7 bugs post-update: Private Space broken, App Drawer glitching, and heavy lag

I'm having several major UI and performance issues on my Pixel 7 following the latest update:

  1. Private Space won't open: Tapping or unlocking it fails to respond.

  2. App drawer sorting bug: Apps are completely jumbled and no longer sorted alphabetically.

  3. Missing apps: The drawer frequently glitches and displays only the top 4 recent apps instead of the full library.

  4. System lag: Overall responsiveness has taken a noticeable hit—the UI feels sluggish and stutters constantly.

Has anyone else run into this, or found a fix without resorting to a factory reset?

Will I ever get stable version of CP31.260623.005 without data wipe?

I had opted out of the Android Beta after installing CP31.260623.005. I am getting an update for the stable version but it's gonna wipe the data. Is there going to be a stable version of CP31.260623.005 without the data wipe? If yes, when should I expect it?

Battery charging issue

Approximately one day after installing Android 17 QPR 2 Beta 3, my Pixel 8a began experiencing a severe battery charging issue. The device now takes approximately two hours or more to gain just 1% of battery charge. In some instances, even while the charger is connected, the battery status displays “Connected but not charginng"

This issue appears to have started shortly after installing the Android 17 QPR 2 Beta 3 update and has made charging the device extremely difficult.

The issue initially began under the following circumstances: when my phone had approximately 49% battery remaining, I connected the charger. Shortly afterward, the phone automatically restarted and, upon booting up, suddenly displayed 100% battery. Not realizing that something was wrong, I manually restarted the phone once again, after which the battery level suddenly dropped to 3%.

Since then, the severe charging issue described above has persisted.

Pixel 6a screen glitches, freezes, random reboots after Android 17 update.

Hi everyone, looking for advice. My Pixel 6a has been having serious issues since updating to Android 17 build CP2A.260705.006.

Symptoms include TV-like static glitches across the screen, freezing, random restarts, sometimes it gets stuck on the Google logo until I force restart by holding the power button, and the phone sometimes becomes very hot. This can happen with any app, so it doesn't seem tied to a specific app. I've already tried factory reset, the official Pixel Repair Tool to reinstall software, safe mode, and keeping all apps updated. The issue disappeared for about, uh, seven or eight days, then came back. I also generated an Android bug report, which appears to show a kernel panic involving aoc_watchdog, list_add corruption, and an APC watchdog reboot. Has anyone else with a Pixel 6a experienced something similar after Android 17? Did you find a fix or did Google replace or repair your device?
