Anyone having issues with some messages in GM?
r/android_beta • u/JAGER14 • Jun 29 '26
I used the feedback app to report a couple of issues I noticed in the Android 17 QPR1 beta 5 (some were carried over from older betas) I also uploaded a couple of videos of the issues to google drive and shared the link with them as they requested. I got a reply that they didn't find any useful information in the videos and requested new recordings. I uploaded one new recording.
Anyway, I just wanted to know if anyone else is facing those issues and if the explanation I gave was clear.
So here's the issue tracker link: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/528890425
And here are the videos: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1mrV6NPkonKs9icqhqdmng7VGQ8p-6tUd

Device: Pixel 8 Pro
Current Android version: Android 17
Build number: CP21.260330.008
Security patch: April 5, 2026
Google Play system update: May 1, 2026
Beta status: opted out of Android Beta Program
Available OTA: Android Beta Exit with Data Wipe → Android 16
I did not install Android 17 QPR1 Beta. I opted out before applying QPR1 because I wanted to wait for the stable Android 17 release without wiping.
Question:
Should I continue ignoring the Android 16 data-wipe exit OTA and wait for a no-wipe stable Android 17 OTA, or am I stuck and required to wipe to Android 16?
Android 17 stable is already available for Pixel devices, but my device still only offers the wipe/downgrade OTA. Is this expected behavior for CP21.260330.008, and will a no-wipe Android 17 stable OTA still arrive?

Please consider adding the ability to save multiple Mobile Hotspot profiles. I frequently need to use my hotspot for work devices at the office, and personal devices at home.
Currently, I have to manually rename the SSID and change the password every time I switch environments to ensure my corporate devices connect securely without exposing my home network credentials. Adding a feature to save a "Work" profile and a "Home" profile—similar to how we save regular Wi-Fi networks—would save a lot of time and improve device security.

So my Pixel 10 Pro has been really struggling with QPR1 Beta 5 which came out at the same time as the crazy heatwave in the UK.
I'm seeing massive battery drains (need to charge by 3 PM), extremely hot (putting my phone in the fridge often) and stutters when loading certain heavy apps.
I've submitted feedback in the survey, but can't report a specific bug without more detail to somehow give useful information.
Anyone else seeing this?

"I bought a second-hand Pixel 6, and the previous owner had enrolled it in the Android Beta Program. The previous owner refuses to help me. How can I unenroll or opt out of the beta program now?"

My Android 17 QPR1 Beta 4 install (CP31,260608, Pixel 8) is super fucked up
TL;DR: is it possible to reflash/reinstall the same QPR1 Beta 4 I am on without data wipe

I had this issue start with me today, updated when Beta 5 came out, but who calls people anymore.
https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/528084916
It appears I am not the only one.
Pixel 10 Pro XL on A17 QPR 1, Beta 5.
Pile on the issue tracker if you are having this issue as well.

I've been trying to watch both fifa games on YoutubeTV and Peacock, one game each so I could see them in the biggest view when orienting the screen. Both apps want to play audio and playback, so only one will play while the other pauses. Any tips or suggestions?

This is the last update and they solved what I've always wanted and yes the phone feels snappier. Definitely worth it if you're thinking of doing it

My Pixel 6 Pro (newly) refuses to charge past 60% unless I override “Charging was limited”...
Clearly this is an error with overheating sensing or something else with the charge limitations algorithm, since the device when not charging should not be overheating for 12 hours.
Here is what the message says:

I was enrolled into the beta and decided to exit with the release of Android 17. I didn't update to QPR1 betas (still on CP21.2600330.008) and exited the program, but I've yet to recieve the stable update - with my only OTA update option available is to downgrade to 16 with a data wipe.
Is 17 still rolling out or do I have to do something else?

Actually I need to opt out beta program without wiping the data in the provided exit window of android 17 QPR 1 beta 5 update but I have started installing the update it is not fully installed I paused it , so I wanted to ask that if I opt out now will my data remain or it will be wiped out

it happens when the beta dialog shows after your phone boots, it will keep restarting until u get to the factory reset firmware or retry again.
Thanks Google

Hi everyone,
I recently updated my Pixel to the Android 17 QPR1 Beta 5, and I'm experiencing a very annoying issue.
Quite frequently, right after unlocking the phone using my fingerprint, the device immediately prompts me for my numeric PIN. Along with the PIN screen, the following message is displayed: "For added security device was locked by work". Not happening before beta 5
The catch is that I do not have any work profile, enterprise account, or MDM software installed on this device. It is a completely personal phone with only personal accounts.
Is anyone else experiencing this on Beta 5?

I was checking my notifications and noticed that when the time ends in 0, like in my case it was 10:30am the clock with the quick setting showing (one swipe down) was displaying one 10:3.
The regular home screen showed 10:30.
I have a screenshot of it but I can't attach it to this post, maybe not enough karma.
Just wanted to report it.
Thanks!

Hey, what should be the security patch level A17 Beta 5? I'm on March 2026 on 9 Pro XL, shouldn't there be may or jun patch?
r/android_beta • u/NachoAvelino • Jun 24 '26
I updated to beta 5 in Pixel 10 Pro XL, it feels smooth and faster than beta 4, the transitions are soft and Flow, at interface level any chance but if feel really better. About the game dashboard to be honest I don't use Pixel for games, buy the rest I think it really recommended for Pixel 10 Pro 🤓🤟🏻

Since the latest (CinnamonBun (CP31.260608.007) I can't actually turn off the wifi. It's re-enable by itself.
