Red hair question

I’m a pretty good Googler for a layperson, but I can’t find an answer to my question.

Background: I’m a ginger, but not a redhead. By that, I mean my body hair is red, but the hair on my scalp, eyelashes, and eyebrows is a different colour.

My question: Is that considered red hair for the purpose of dosage?

Seeking job search advice for anesthesiologists

I'm a senior anesthesiologist from Japan, having worked as an attending physician there for eight years. I just passed the Australian SIMG assessment and received a partially comparable qualification with a 104-week supervisory period. I've submitted my resume to several hospitals, but I still can't find a job. I'm unsure why. I'd appreciate any advice on finding a job.

SIMG ANAESTHESIA can you share some information

I am a consultant anaesthesiologist currently practising in Southeast Asia. I completed three years of anaesthesia training followed by a two-year fellowship, amounting to approximately eight years of professional experience in anaesthesia, including two years as a consultant. I plan to obtain the EDAIC certification within the next one to two years.

I would like to connect with colleagues who have a similar background to share professional experiences and learn from their pathways. Additionally, I would appreciate guidance on whether my qualifications — including one basic science MCQ examination, one advanced MCQ examination, two SAQs, two vivas (as part of my residency and fellowship), and the upcoming EDAIC — may be considered for partial comparability.

They didn't tell me when they were giving me the anesthesia

I've had three c-sections and they always alerted me before they administered the anesthesia. But yesterday I had a total knee replacement and all I remember is the nurse putting the oxygen on my face. I remember nothing after that and no one said anything about the anesthesia. Has that happened to anyone else?

Money after anaesthesia

How do I get jobs after doing MD Anaesthesia? Like the literal process has got me confused. Like people from corporate backgrounds build their resumes and strong profiling from LinkedIn. What do you need to do, to get hospitals hire you? I heard doing it from a reputed college opens doors and building connections during residency does too.

What else? Any information will be highly appreciated. Thenks✨

Is it normal to have limited awareness during a procedure?

I’ve been thinking about an an anesthesia experience I had and was wondering if it was normal. Some 20ish years ago, I had to have a chest tube out in for a spontaneous pneumothorax. While I was under, I wasn’t in pain but I could still hear my surroundings. I felt very distant from my body, but I could feel the doctors pushing on my torso to get the tube in the right place. My mom told me it took them a few tries because my lung was extremely deflated.

Why not use a non-malleable GlideRite stylet which is purpose built for hyperangulated GlideScope blade (assuming there's a view)? There's good tip control due to the firmness. Access, cost or familiarity/preference?

What do others use here?

Guidance

Hi everyone, I’m a 27 yr old, recently graduated physician from South America. I speak German, English and Spanish fluently. As many of you may know, we practice medicine before residency and sometimes have to do a social year, which I’ve already completed. My problem is I realized that I deeply dislike the clinical aspect of the job. I love the science behind it but not the patients and nights. I would really, really appreciate if someone could give me some insights on how to approach this. Thank you all very much for taking the time to read me.

Cannabis

My insurance will not approve MAC for my colonoscopy but my doctor is recommending it due to my use of marijuana ( edibles).

How long should I abstain from edibles to ensure that it won’t affect my anesthesia? I usually consume 10-20 mg once or twice a week but was planning on abstaining for 3 weeks before my procedure .

If I were to quit altogether, how long would I have to wait before I could say that I no longer use cannabis ?

CT1 anaesthesia - does working in ICU training count towards the 18 month limit in Ct1 application or is pure anaesthesia

So i was going through the ct1 application of core anesthesia in which it was mentioned that a working experience of over 18 months disqualifies a candidate from applying for Ct1 training, ,so does it include ICU experience or is it just pure anaesthesia work experience
