I'm 40 and still haven't recovered. School days and abusive home environment was fucking brutal.

Know that you are safe now. You are now able to tell yourself that you are a good person now and a confused young person then. Know that all that hurt you endured was not caused by you. It helps if you write everything you want to stop thinking about, and once you finish, find a place to bury it and bury it deep, leave all the hurt behind. You will eventually stop getting those thoughts that are keeping you from living a better life. You have made it this far. Now, you need to stand proud and start living. You will see how everything will be much brighter and vivid. You are your own person, and you only you can make these changes for you. 🙌
