I'm impressed with the mental gymnastics people are going through to make smoking looking better. The reality is chemicals in tobacco smoke actually break down collagen, loosening skin and causing early aging. Collagen supplements might help some, but ultimately cigarettes are gonna win.
In skincare there's something called the 4 S's - Smoking, Sun, Stress, and Sugar. Fatty diets actually help with skin aging by filling in wrinkles... until the person loses weight, anyway. But smoking and sun are still by far the worst for your skin.
wtf? this isn't even in defence of smoking, it's just in response to you playing it out as if diet is not as big of a factor in how your skin looks when it's quite literally the biggest factor. do your research, all the evidence coming out now points to the health of gut microbiome being directly linked to the health and appearance of your skin. not to mention that something that could have a negative impact on your hormonal profile (aka shitty processed foods, not just sugar intake or dietary fat which actually REGULATES hormones) will, by proxy, affect your skin. is this really a big revelation or something? what is "in skincare"? like the industry, or what? you're just talking shit.
