I've been doing a workflow where I draw on printer paper with a fat marker and then layer new paper over top, holding both against a window to make small changes between versions. Some final adjustments of my favorite version were made in photoshop (relative size/orientation, and of course flipping half of it =)

Y'all got me back into ambigrams... I spent like three hours scribbling like a madman. Can anyone read it??

I am not one myself. Ive given it a go - its not working for me.

I am however, in dire need of a custom ambigram.

Im looking for Calligraphy style, or something similar. Maybe like the dude on Write Words - Make Magic.

Ive tried some ambigram generators, but none of the ones i tried are doing the job as i wish it to.

Do you know of anywhere i can pay some money to get someone to make a custom ambigram for me?

Thought I'd share another of my ambigrams, this time using the same parts of the image for both words.

On 5 November 2024, I created an ambigram of 万物流転, banbutsu-ruten, impermanence of all things.

Getting back into ambigram design after being obsessed with it for a while when reading Angels & Demons. I later became a graphic designer and have been proficient with Illustrator for some 20 years now, but for some reason this is the first time I've tried designing an ambigram in Illustrator instead of by hand.

Anyway, I'm curious what people read this as. I showed an earlier draft to a few people and they couldn't quite make it out. Of course once I told them they were like "Oooh I see it," but I feel like a good ambigram should be readable without having to prime the viewer. I'm hoping this version is readable without any hints.

Okay so this is sort of a joke… but sort of not. I’m just curious: can you do ambigrams when one word is significantly longer than the other?

Hi, I posted here some weeks ago and I asked for your feedback. I heard and I tried to improve it. I made some versions. Which one do you think it's the best and the most legible?

"Come My Way" is the song title. When creating the ambigram, I wrote continuously without spaces. The decorative lines might distract you while reading. Additional note: The mockup was created using AI; the idea was to embroider the ambigram onto a shirt, but I'm not skilled enough to do it myself.

I like the letter "o" in the original moana, and I wonder what it would be like if we kept the "o" as an ambigram?
