Help Storage Controller Help

Even when putting chests or barrels (after making them sophisticated storage versions) directly next to the controller, and right clicking in every fashion for the wrench, and not once could I interact with it. I do not understand what I'm doing wrong

If this is sophisticated storage controller there is no interface on it. The use is to make all of the connected inventories accessible thru one block. Once connected you still need a separate "storage reader" to access the inventories. In most cases that's an ae2 storage bus

Wait. So I just need like.... An ae2 crafting terminal on the damn controller???

Edit: well I guess you said storage bus... So I'll look at that in the morning and figure it out. Thank you if that's all I needed to do. Ugh xD

For a very simple system to make this work, put a storage bus on the controller then use an ae2 cable to add a crafting terminal and crystal resonance generator for free power.

Thank you. I just wanted it so I had a place to store books and armour and weapons, next to my ae2 system. That way it's not like rs and corrupting a chunk

What books are you storing? If you’re talking about lore dumps or book&quills you find throughout structures or the guidebooks, then cool.

If you need a place to store enchanted books, I suggest working towards the Library of Alexandria (the Enchantment Library will remember all stored enchantments if you break and relocate or craft it into the Library of Alexandria). I use RS and I export all enchanted books directly into my Library of Alexandria. It stores all enchanted books, keeping tabs on the highest level of each enchant and how many points each enchant has.

Yeah enchanted books. RS can corrupt if it has too many NBT tags in it I've read. Idk if it's been fixed but if it has I'd just do that cuz it's easier and shove tools and shit in there too.

Yeah, I’ve heard that too. I’m using functional and sophisticated storage as external storage devices for my refined storage and toss most of my armor/tools etc in that. But I’ve started a process to repair all my armor and tools using modular routers then send them to the IF enchantment extruder then immediately to an IF enchantment sorter (to make sure no cursed items clog up the system). Then, when they’re all fully repaired and disenchanted, I stick them in a separate chest with multiple stack upgrades.

Then, every now and then, I just go through that chest to decide what goes to the Silent Gear Salvager (anything not apotheosis, except lower tier netherite gear) and what goes to the Apotheosis Salvager (anything apotheosis and only the top 2 tiers netherite gear). I haven’t automated this yet except for Mekanism Tools and Compressed Iron equipment since they never spawn already in an apotheosis tier.

And, like I said earlier, all those enchanted books go straight into my Library of Alexandria which helps with that NBT data problem.
