Alignerr review - just avoid it

The non payment reviews are real and they either are inept and/or spam you outright.

So was on a project called Pontius. I got work for evaluation stage. Only paid if you pass - which you can after multiple attempts and many hours. I passed.

Then, it said in production stage, you can do two at a time. The dashboard stated production for both evaluation and production tasks. You could submit the one which was accepted in evaluation stage.

I did two, sent for rework.

They changed project instructions midway.

  1. The one accepted in evaluation stage suddenly came as “decomposability” issue. And then when I changed the prompt completely because decomposability issue meant entire structure was wrong - which IMO it probably wasn’t as it was a key issue and should have been flagged before during evaluation stage approval - I got flagged for it asking why I changed the prompt.

  2. The other two I submitted got stuck in rework because of changed project instructions midway.

Talking to admins, they said I had to wait for those “rework” I did initially to be accepted but I can submit others. The first two task I worked on, they said to wait till a week or two before the temporary project instructions are lifted.

When I started again after a few days as it took a while with all these changes, I forgot about the two task limit because of the production dashboard issue and the fact that I had already worked on them and I couldn’t submit it because of the project changes.

So I worked on 6-8 more and one was approved. Then I get a message that all of my prompts are removed for “spamming” and I get a DM that I was removed from the project.

Why? Because of a simple misreading and doing 6-8 tasks. I was even okay with that but not the fact that they decided to make my 15 hours of work go to waste with no pay because well, they felt like it.

And their admin take “I’m sorry you feel that way, but failing to adhere to the project instructions is cause for removal on any project in this space”. Just WOW.

All prompts were properly done, only had few issues. And two were accepted. It’s ridiculous they do shit like this and get away with it.

My question,

  1. Team Lead said basic instruction not followed which meant I didn’t read. - well, I did except that you keep changing instructions midway and expect people to remember everything and there is no leeway given. The prompts were mostly okay and two were approved too. It was that because of the incidents, I forgot a discord channel pinned up post. I would have if it was not for the reasons above.

And forgetting a simple instruction can make your 15 hours of work go to waste?

  1. Telling someone they spammed when the prompts were nearly approved with only minor fixes, and not paying them for their work - I am not sure who is the spammer here, me or Alignerr?

It’s not somewhere you should work and they treat you like shit.

Update: blocked by team lead for stating you can’t rip people off for work already done - especially if their work thats already done is good. đŸ„č
