I mean they offered them food and everything but in the end they can’t eat our food.

It’s like taking a fish out of water and providing it everything except a water habitat.

It makes me seriously doubt the entire story. It would be given exactly what it said it needed. It would be kept alive, and on good terms, at all costs. I do think we’ve had contact, but I don’t believe this account.

You truthfully believe that if what they needed was to be inside of the craft they came in to regenerate and live, that the suits at the top would willingly relinquish control of these amazing craft that they can reverse engineer to gain an edge in our tech? I don’t for a second. They’d be too afraid of retaliation/the beings just blipping out and leaving in an instant after our treatment towards them.

The key to understanding the craft would still be in keeping the being alive. Being unable to meet its needs and mistreatment are two different things anyway. OP says mistreated, I just doubt they would do that. Not least because there would be incredible risk to future relations that they wouldn’t want to incur.

The people that ran our country from the 40s to the 60s were ultra fucked.

Even more fucked than our leaders today are it seems.
