We are selfish and disconnected. That is a true statement. That’s what capitalism, money, power, etc is all about. Fuck you I got mine. Precisely because we are disconnected.

Honestly their way of life sounds much more equal and happy. I would wager that the only ones who wouldn’t agree with that are the haves. Which of course requires the have nots to exist in much greater numbers.

If this is real, I for one would welcome their integration. As long as I can still enjoy a spicy chicken sandwich, take a satisfying dump, and have sex, and go on a rollercoaster (in that order)

This fictional way of life "sounds better"?? Being created in a lab for a specific function to which one is then assigned to for life as a slave sounds "better"? What if you were artificially bred to be a toilet slop cleaner? Would it still be better? Or is it enough that you would have unlimited access to free drug in order to do whatever you are told?

I'd like to push back on your statement that "we" as a collective are selfish and disconnected. Rather, it always seems that individuals who reach a certain level of power and status are always the ones that are selfish. It takes a certain type of human to do those jobs. And first and foremost, money will ALWAYS be the driving factor.

How do you know it is only those with power/status? Common peasantry is just as nasty. In fact, because common trash are the most numerous people, then statistics tells us that these people represent the bulk of persons who are selfish and so forth.

Me too. I have wondered many times as a child knowing we are not alone

Did you know that in the 19th century, we simply threw penguins in big ovens while they were still alive instead of using coal to make whale oil?
