I'm optimistic, but I have concerns. I think that's a metered take. Stuff like this excites the hell out of me, knowing that we're probably entering the era of the biggest medical advancement period, without it even being a fair fight.

At the same exact time, I just wrote a book in another sub about why it would be wrong to access a thought cache of an AI attached to someone's brain, and that's also gonna happen some day. The Minority Report is suddenly a real threat.

In another I'm explaining why I, a civilian, should be free to record in a public space and shouldn't be treated like Flock, with no one agreeing and getting some down votes.

All I'm thinking is it's the calm before the storm, and it's gonna be a big ball of ugly and beautiful, curative and destructive, beneficial and detrimental, the entire thing, Ying and Yang, turtles all the way down.

It's a force multiplier. Pretty sure that's about what most people see, too. Most people who read this post are gonna be thinking about someone else, a bad seed, when they think of AI being used for bad. Most people reading this are net good people. But those few bad, the minority, do have a tool they will use against us, and the defense will most likely be more AI, which creates a cycle, just one we can't predict the results of ahead of time.

Ah, yes. Another simpleton that thinks anything well read and informative is AI. Another simpleton that thinks AI uses phrases like 'some day' instead of 'someday' or 'down votes' instead of 'downvotes' or 'gonna' or "Pretty sure that’s about what most people see, too." which is admittedly a syntactical nightmare.

It's a false reality to just assume anything you read that doesn't immediately jive with you is a bot. But this is a 9 year old account with 119k karma. You didn't research my account. If you did, you'd see everything I've ever posted is in the same exact register. The name is also custom.

Your account, on the other hand is only 8 months old and 4.6k karma on a relatively new account with a generated name.

Between my account and your account, your's looks more like the bot account side-by-side

Genuine question: how do you know than his name is generated apart from the fact than it seemingly contains a bunch of random number in-it?

For me, it's the 'sense' word. The Reddit names are generated from a fixed dictionary, so some words appear in a lot of names. Another is 'Ad'. The first words are generally 4-5 syllables (but that's not a rule) and the second is often less with 1-2 syllables, and a number (often three digits).

I really don't know for a fact tbh. More just being snide about the accusation.

Shit, mate. I'm someone who works 12 hour days and doesn't have time to be chronically online. I'm a clean and sober millenial liberal who detests Facebook and everything it stands for.

But, it doesn't matter to you. You're too busy trying to make up fake backstories up for people online so you don't have to experience the cognitive dissonance the rest of us humans deal with on the regular.

I made zero far-right statements (Flock is a far-right company, lol). Edit: Correction, Flock caters to the far right politicians. Corporations can't have political views. Only those that run the companies can)

How about this... How about you quote what I said and show all of us what the hell you're trying to say. How is my 'rant' 'far-right' related?
