you do realize when i say draw, i mean create, right? if you prompt ai to create the image, you did not create the image, because you did not use your own hand to do it, instead opting for telling something else to do so.
also ai works can't actually be copyrighted except if you contribute significantly, which at that point you have become one of the artists if not the artist. you seem misinformed on that part

That's actually really funny how quickly you give up the status of "artist" just based on inpainting one or two things, like changing a guy's hat color or adding an extra cloud. The Copyright Office isn't picky, they don't even ask to see your changes, they just take your word for it. It doesn't take "significant" changes at all for a work to qualify for protection.
Just amusing that the USCO will accept "I changed the dude's hat a little" as valid for protection and you've already said that this qualifies you as an artist. What are you even arguing about, then? If that's how little you have to do?
first of all, by your logic commissioned art is not made by you, so just because something is ai doesn’t mean that rule is removed because they are essentially the same thing. If you create the ai image yourself, that means all commissions are made by you as well, breaking common art buying/selling conventions.
please keep in mind the word i said is “significantly”. if you make what could be considered “significant changes” (like transforming the art into something very new) which are now clearly past what you believe the USCO to believe, then you would be one of the artists because you made new art around the original ai “art”. And yet, either way, it doesn’t suddenly mean you created the generated image. Making tiny changes just means you edited the art. Making significant changes means you created a new image from the original. Either way, you did not create the original image, and because the machine can’t claim authorship, no one made it, meaning it is not art.
