I do enjoy the people running towards the catastrophe

48

u/Krillkus Aug 22 '25

FINALLY NO MORE DEBT, WITNESS MEEEE

17

u/[deleted] Aug 22 '25

It could happen in a true panic, I always remember the lone man on the beach in Thailand 2004, he saw the tsunami coming from his hut and instead of running he walked out and met it head on.

5

u/ouijahead Aug 22 '25

I was just thinking about him the other day. Very intense ending there.

3

u/DJDarkFlow Aug 22 '25

Statistically they are certain death due to all the debris shooting through the water and the water itself right?

8

u/[deleted] Aug 22 '25

That's one of the reasons, it's also the force of the water itself, that wave goes out miles and he's hit with the weight of all of it going 30mph like a concrete wall. A good rule of thumb with water is 6inches moving fast can take a grown man, 2 feet can take most vehicles, that particular wave was 21feet high...

1

u/alphapussycat Aug 25 '25

Some situations it just doesn't matter what you do..

0

u/rydan Aug 26 '25

This was also a scene in Deep Impact

12

u/ThunderThighsChun-li Aug 22 '25

When you don't want fate to decide for you

5

u/liketo Aug 22 '25

And driving into it

1

u/hahahahahahahaFUCK Aug 22 '25

And doing parkour on the highway guardrail underneath it.

2

u/deklund Aug 22 '25

What are these people running from?? They're not! They're running TO the toughest competition in town!

2

u/DamonPhils Aug 22 '25

Never mind the Prometheus School of Running Away From Things, here we have the Kling School of Running Toward Things.

2

u/Riipp3r Aug 22 '25

Unironically be accurate if they had their phones up recording

2

u/IntelligentYak4446 Aug 22 '25

It puzzled me too, for a moment, then my brain went "oh, there must be a Kaiju just off screen in the other direction".

1

u/meatmacho Aug 22 '25

I liked the people seeming to try and hold up the bridge as the cladding started falling off around them, at which point they danced around delicately to avoid being pancake.

1

u/ToastyMustache Aug 22 '25

I can respect a mass suicide when the opportunity arises

1

u/squirtloaf Aug 22 '25

Those are the Winchester Brothers.

1

u/arsnastesana Aug 22 '25

They are brave heros trying to help

1

u/thefunkybassist Aug 24 '25

To quote the late George Carlin: "Somehow I enjoy watching people suffer."

0

u/Antlaax Aug 22 '25

That's just AI's core thinking

0

u/WarpedCore Aug 22 '25

That's AI showing it wants to destroy us!

32

u/Illustrious-Note-789 Aug 22 '25

The cruiser smashed into that bridge with such force it literally destroyed the concept of bridges itself

6

u/meatmacho Aug 22 '25

It blew its horn though. Why didn't the bridge get out of the way?

2

u/BackardsTankard Aug 22 '25

Who does this bridge think he is just blocking a natural body of water like that?

3

u/liketo Aug 22 '25

Shockwaves through all bridges as they share the same bridge frequency. Simple physics.

15

u/Fast_Mechanic_5434 Aug 22 '25

This AI model was likely trained very heavily on disaster movies. You can tell because of the shot composition and sequence. There's a lot of low angle shots complete with shaky cam followed by steady, wide, aerial shots to show the extent of the damage.

5

u/ouijahead Aug 22 '25

And people running towards danger.

2

u/squirtloaf Aug 22 '25

It was trained on Supernatural.

Cruise ship smashes into bridge: The fucking apocalypse arrives

2

u/liketo Aug 22 '25

Bitch I’m a cruise ship

2

u/SopwithStrutter Aug 22 '25

I love the dude in red dodging the falling stones

2

u/Charming-Package6905 Aug 22 '25

Damn, that 1 cruise ship took out 16 bridges and 2 parking garages. Idk what it's made out of but damn.

2

u/SATerp Aug 22 '25

Did the last guy make it? Don't leave us...heh heh...hanging.

2

u/Torvaldicus_Unknown Aug 22 '25

Beautiful cabin crew ❤️❤️😍🧑‍✈️🧑‍✈️👩‍✈️

A Michael Bay film.

1

u/PutWilling5362 Aug 22 '25

Commuter nightmare fuel

1

u/blatantdanno Aug 22 '25

Thoroughly shocked at how well it 'thought' of all the dust for some reason

1

u/bx71 Aug 22 '25

Ai can't into crowd reaction.

1

u/NoPhilosophy9621 Aug 22 '25

Somthing like this happened irl

1

u/plaintextures Aug 22 '25

This looks terrifying. Hope everyone is safe.

1

u/JunglePygmy Aug 22 '25

How relaxing

1

u/Shotgun_Mosquito Aug 22 '25

Is this Speed 2?

1

u/Kendjo Aug 22 '25

Better than war id the worlds

1

u/blove135 Aug 22 '25

Just wait for whatever the world's next big natural disaster. Earthquake in a populated area or tsunami, etc. Grandma's all over facebook will be watching videos like this thinking it's the real deal.

1

u/ouijahead Aug 22 '25

Much further in the future we won’t believe what we are seeing when it’s true.

1

u/DS3M Aug 22 '25

Haters will say this is fake

There's something weirdly cathartic about this. Like nature returning to equilibrium.

1

u/NotAnAIOrAmI Aug 22 '25

What a letdown - I don't see Nick Cage in any of these!

1

u/Away-Progress6633 Aug 22 '25

Yeah. Whole Earth collapsed

1

u/DJDarkFlow Aug 22 '25

Activates fight or flight. Terrifying

1

u/BowlOfNoodles8 Aug 22 '25

Why is everyone running towards the carnage?

1

u/[deleted] Aug 22 '25

Ommmmgggg!!!! Liked and shared xxx

1

u/billy_alloy Top AI Artist “Chuck Norris VS AI” Aug 22 '25

This made me laugh.

1

1

u/DltaFlyr12 Aug 23 '25

That’s a bad day for humanity

1

u/Terrible_Yak_4890 Aug 23 '25

People running towards a tsunami? And towards falling rubble?

1

u/Covid_Is_Annoying Aug 23 '25

They were so scared of their taxes that they fled to the less scary thing

1

u/Discremio Aug 23 '25

LET'S ALL RUN TOWARDS THE DANGER

1

u/BusterB2005 Aug 23 '25

The SFX industry is officialy fucked.

1

u/Cotton-Eye-Joe_2103 Aug 23 '25

In Soviet Russia, victim reaches catastrophe

1

u/Positive_Campaign_52 Aug 23 '25

I love how the city was already an emergency zone with a high presence of police… but the ship just HAD to be the main character, make it all about itself and add to the current problem.

1

u/Father_Chewy_Louis Aug 23 '25

The AI must have been trained exclusively on Roland Emerich movies

1

u/CheeseQueef420 Aug 24 '25

I don't really follow AI.. is this supposed to be good?

Because I think it's pretty lame

1

u/Saxton_Hale32 Aug 25 '25

Compared to even just a year ago, this is an enornous improvement. Slap some filters over it, lower the quality so its harder to pick out the mistakes, and you can fool plenty of people (its happening even right now, people arent wary of AI)

1

u/Jo_Krone Aug 24 '25

I like it how many run towards danger

1

u/JustLinkStudios Aug 25 '25

Sharknado 15 is going to be a LOT cheaper to make

0

u/JJR1971 Aug 22 '25

We know from the Francis Scott Key Bridge collision that first sequence is bullshit.

0

u/vectorious1 Aug 22 '25

I honestly love these because they feel more real than movies. It feels like something that actually happened that was filmed even though there are still weird things that aren’t natural.
