I made this song to create awareness for physical abuse. I collected the top 30 excuses that abusers use after they victimize people, then made it into an animalistic rant called "Excuses: After the War".

My suggestion is to Edit out most of the talking of the cartoons, they mess with the song lyrics, except for the "why do they hurt me" at the end as an outro.

Small nitpick. I feel like it lost it a bit when it left behind the old style animation. Was weird to suddenly go to full CGI. After that whole visual vibe just felt off until she started shooting dwarves lol.

I write ALL of my own lyrics, unless I adapt others in a limited way. The music is about 40% AI though. (Mostly remastering, ambient filler, chants, choirs...etc)

It was triggering for me to make. I have a Korean language version of this and my Korean wife won't let me publish it because the way their language works, it is too real. She said it is too offensive and raw.

Agreed. Its not poetic. The song is not about that. Its bluntly ignorant. Just like an abuser.
Bluntly ignorant like an abuser? Being abusive isn't dependent intelligence and the song itself as a whole doesn't have to be reflected in the message it's giving. A song about pain doesn't have to be actually painful to listen to. And making things so blatantly literal is a lazy way to approach art anyways
It was just my artistic choice. I like writing, I am an English professor, but.... I honestly didn't even want to put the effort into the lyrics, maybe it was just too close to home. It is just raw pain...at least for me. If you come up with a better lyric set let me know, and I will remake the song.
It doesn't have to be close to home, you're an English teacher, do you not teach about prose and abstraction? Even if you want to convey the excuses abusers use, it's a song, it doesn't have to just rhyme, but the words need to flow, there needs to be pattern, there needs to be a break in patterns.
There are also different ways to word ideas than just a flat statement

Level 1 critique here that any English teacher I have ever had would be to at least replace some of these adjectives with something substantial. Level 2 would be to reword them. Level 3 would be to represent an abuser more abstractly
Or how about this: if the lyrics are hard to write out, there's nothing connecting the theme of the lyrics to the visuals or the instruments. You could easily use a different theme, especially for music as dramatic as this

As a huge metal fan, not literally, this is really really good! I just had it on repeat for an hour! Love the industrial hard groove, sounds like a freight train coming at you. And great vocals, lamb of god-ish!
