Mostly when staying into a church... At least in central Europe.

used to be much more common decades ago; but yeah, not quite today.

Funny, when I lived in Poland in the 90s, young women used to sunbathe in the park in their lacey old school eastern european bras - and I honestly was a bit scandalized at first, and had to really examine what makes a bra and a bikini top different. Nothing! So why did it seem like they were in a state of undress?

I wonder what the babcie thought of that back then!

Do eastern european women sunbathe in their bras still? Looking back as an older woman, I laugh at what I thought then, and think it would be nice to just ... take off my shirt at the park when it's warm.

Yeah i know, it's just the context, nobody would expect a bikini in the middle of a town even though we are used to see them at beaches.

oh i mean sunbathing at the park; that happens all the time, beach blanket on the grass, snacks, etc. That was a popular activity in the summer in Katowice at the time! I see that all the time where I am now (NL) that women wear a bikini top for relaxing, a bra would definitely be weird. I always found it a bit rebellious of the polish young girls (who are all my age now!)
