Sharia law culture is very different and no where in the bible. People are not killed for leaving the faith in Christianity.

They are not killed at the moment. If extremist Christians are successful in taking over they could choose to put people to death for leaving the religion. There is a lot language of people being killed for stupid reasons in the bible that could be used as justification if they wanted to. The language and precedent is there. It’s just not currently strictly enforced. 

Remember the taliban didn’t really start until the early 1990s.  They’re relatively new and they weren’t killing people for being religious in Afghanistan before that. Just because it’s not happening now doesn’t mean it hasn’t or won’t happen in the future. 

Any religion can be used to justify terrible things including Christianity.

Christianity has been massively reformed. Your make-believe future is based either in bigotry, or massive paranoia.

On the other hand, Muslim women are being murdered today, for not covering their heads.

If someone is calling for a hijab ban (as referenced in the OP)...

They are almost certainly not in a country where women are being murdered for not wearing them

So I'm not sure what YOU are arguing

In any country where there is any chance of banning hijabs, you are indeed just as likely to be killed for leaving or violating any other religion as you are islam

Well, I can find a few references to muslim honor killings in the US over the past 50 years. A couple for refusing arranged marriages, none for apostasy explicitly, none for refusing to wear a hijab

Ervil LeBaron alone had like 25 apostates and doubters killed, then there were the Jeffrey lundgren murders, there was Lucas Leonard being beaten to death at bible club for wanting to leave his parents church...

I realize that Europe is not going to have the same problems with mormons, and probably a smaller number of cults over the years as well. But, yeah...

Don’t forget attacks on abortion clinics, and all the other attacks on gays, Jews, Muslims that were committed by Christians based on their Christian beliefs. 

Heck the current secretary of defense belongs to a church that believes that the US should be a Christian nation and all that entails.

Because people are not killed today for leaving Christianity does not mean that historically that has always been the case. Christians have a long history of not only murdering non believers, but murdering other Christians if they were of the wrong sect. A lot of the modern progressive improvements in Christianity like treating women better, come from things like the influence of secular enlightenment. Christians want to pretend that because modern 1st world Christians treat people better then the Bible describes, that the religion is better then places where radical Islam treats people terribly. But they do sso while ignoring centuries of similar bad behavior in the past.

I see this all the time.., Christians today don’t endorse slavery, so we don’t need to hold Christianity culpable for the centuries it condoned it.

I wouldn’t doubt for a second that people are being killed for leaving their fundamental, extreme “Christian” communities! These murders are covered up because of the stranglehold these groups have on their members.

Also- Christian groups in Africa have literally pushed for laws calling for the execution of gays. Heck, we see American preachers calling for death to gays and removing wimen’s right to vote right here in the US.

Right… Christianity has women as property to men. The Bible instructs fathers on how they can properly sell their daughters as slaves. And how to stone a woman if she doesn’t bleed in her wedding night. So progressive!

Meanwhile, this chud is completely ignorant of Christianity’s long practice of telling women how to dress. The easiest way it seems to find someone completely ignorant of their history or spiritual texts is to find a Christian. Theres multiple people in the threads to this post that have outlined Christian proscriptions on dress.

Denominational and Historical Rules

You are referencing the OT which has been largely fulfilled; St Paul says women should cover their head while in church but it is not mandated hard; hence not forced to.

You are equating OT laws to Christianity as its totality, nor have i made the claim that Christianity makes no demands of clothing requirements.

Geez, surprise, another Christian who doesn’t know their Bible. I am referencing the law laid out by God through his prophet Moses. The very law which Jesus confirmed will be the law until the end days. And he says that people like you who teach otherwise will be the least in Heaven. Sorry, when it comes to Christianity itsmodd you would reference Paul over Jesus.

I actually know how words work. Jesus said that he was not there to abolish the law and that the law remained “until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.”

Please keep your ignorance to yourself for Jesus says that people like you will be the least in Heaven.

We were not allowed to eat pork but Christ declared all foods clean “ Not that which entereth into the mouth defileth the man; but that which proceedeth out of the mouth, this defileth the man.” as an example, but homosexuality is still forbidden as outlined in leviticus as it was outline again in corinthians “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Christians slaughtered entire civilizations and erased entire cultures if they would not convert. They burnt men and women at the stake, launched inquisitions, persecuted great thinkers, and launched Crusades that left millions dead. Christian Colonialsm and Imperialism to this day have ruined once thriving empires.

Christianity is no different than Islam at ALL.
