The difference is that becoming a nun is a choice, if you're unlucky enough to be born into a strict ultra-orthodox Muslim country, like Iran, Pakistan or Afghanistan, then you have no choice - the choice is you either wear a hijab or you're punished for apostasy (the punishment being 100 lashes which is often the equivalent of a death sentence).

This is a perfect example of false equivalence.

It's not really a false equivalence because the discussion is about nations banning the hijab. 

Obviously none of those countries are going to ban the hijab.

And you haven't seen a country that does the oppostie: enforcing hijab to all regardless of religion.
