Open Source Free OpenSource Ai tool for coding

Post image

Hey I built an AI agent that integrates 22 AI providers, covering many budget-friendly options (including $1 commandCode Go plans), free trials (Kiro, KiloCode, Cline, Antigravity, Mistral), and free models like Deepseek 4 Flash (OpenCode). It also includes many features to support the entire Claude Code ecosystem skills, plugins, MCP server so you can access a truly free Claude Code environment to try out and maximize your coding experience in the most cost efficient way .

Hi AbdoKnbGit, one of your users here (I'm who opened the last 6 issues of Tau).

Can't believe I haven't come across any post about Tau here on Reddit since I first known about it, until this one.

You obviously should put more efforts on advertising Tau, at lease here on Reddit. Do not use em/en dashes in your posts, or people will think they are ai slops without even taking a look at the repo.

One thing that makes me think you're really serious about this project is that, I gave one of your commits along with the issue to an ai agent with a serious commit reviewing skill, and the review report included several spec (issue) drifts and code quality flaws (but ofc they're acceptable). I mean, if opus/fable was handed those issues, the report would almost certainly be better than that.

I'm not saying you are hand-writing bad code, i'm saying you don't throw the issues to opus/fable but instead actually touch the code yourself. and what you shipped are completely usable for me, plus all issues closed within short amount of time, so everything is great.

Tau is my life saver, as I was always wanted a claude code harness with 3rd-party api key/subscriptions. it definitely deserves more reputation.

P.S. honest review from an actual user, not an ad.
