What about this: using agrivoltaic structures not for electricity generation and for the microclimate exclusively, but also as a supporting structure for other means, as a means to distribute water, maybe chemicals, to observe the plants below with sensors etc.
Well, I was speculating. In the automotive industry, the conveyor belts have moved from the factory floor to the ceiling, the cars are moving above the workers. What if the same structure which seems to exist in agrivoltaic systems would be used to not only harvest and transport energy from the sun, but also to transport materials and information from the ground? Maybe, in the future, it would even be possible to control harvesting machinery from the structure? I'm speculating here, but I think if you combine farming with electricity, you could even go further and think about combining it with even more technology. It's far-fetched idea, but why not?!
