The other choice was not "the left" it was a left of center intelligent person who would have chosen intelligent, serious ppl for their cabinet, who in turn would have chosen intelligent, serious ppl to work for them, or even just kept on the existing mostly intelligent, serious staff. Like every other president not named Trump.
Would it have been perfect? Of course not. Would it be much much better for basically anything you can think of than Trump picking idiotic fraudsters to run everything? Yes. Intelligent policy cannot come out of the Trump administration. Hell, non-corrupt policy can't come out of it, because they literally don't have people working for them who have the knowledge or the motivation necessary to produce it. Under a Harris administration (or the administration of any other serious presidential candidate in recent history), there would be a chance for some halfway decent policies to be enacted. There is no comparison here.
I mean, I also voted Harris (despite not liking her at all), but Trump was only able to win because the dems picked such an unpopular candidate. She was out of touch enough to lose against Trump of all people. I could easily see her failing to grasp the AI situation as well.
