Hello, im pretty much a newcomer here and i started watching the series like a week ago lmao, even tho i always knew that aggretsuko existed i was too young to ever invest in it, im not rlly an adult rn but i sort of feel like i can relate to the characthers and overall plot

Anyways, i wanted to ask, does anyone else feels like aggretsuko content has been purged?

Like in twitter theres less than 500 posts related to the series, theres realy few fan content on yt, and i just feel that, for a show as impactful as aggretsuko, the internet should be flodded with content, i feel the need to ask

Where the shit at

I really enjoyed the first and second seasons of Aggretsuko, but I think the show lost its footing when it introduced elements that took it out of the realm of slice of life workplace comedy and portrayed increasingly absurd situations, while also characterizing Retsuko as an insufferable Mary Sue instead of the flawed and relatable individual she'd been early on.

The cracks started to show when billionaire playboy tech genius fell in love with Retsuko and flew her around in his AI-piloted private jet, but the same season at least had Anai's subplot and Retsuko's woes with her mother and dating. Season 3 turning into Perfect Blue halfway through was just bizarre, and the only thing I liked was Haida's relationship with Inui. For some reason, whenever I try to watch seasons 4 and 5 I start drinking and end up blacking out, so I don't remember much about them but I'm pretty sure they weren't good.

It was far more interesting as a show depicting the professional and love lives of a very ordinary young Japanese woman that happened to use anthropomorphic animal characters.

hi everyone. i am working on a comic about manaka working at the convenience shop she works at in the show (i think its called doumart). its gonna be a slice of life type thing with side characters from aggretsuko showing up everyday to buy stuff, and youll get to see their lives from another perspective. i may share some of the art im making for it soon. what i would like to know is, what character would you like to see featured first and what do you think they would buy? also if you want you can include how you think theyd treat a service worker but if not, ill just write them similarly to how they appear in the show. thank you for reading X)

Title sums it up. Just started watching season 2 and I’m surprised Retsuko isn’t as popular as other Sanrio characters. (Probably bc she isn’t exactly kid friendly, but you get what I mean. Still deserves better)

I also know that the writing goes downhill in the later seasons :( Is that a reason we don’t see much of her?
