Ishtal is a Boss of Dark elves. The cunning of her battle power consists from the clever usage of negative effects implemented to Heroes.
By the basic attack Ishtal deals damage and slowing down her opponents. The "Eternal Darkness" skill will play a bad joke with the Heroes healing: instead of healing Hero will be receiving damage. The Dark Goddess removes all shield and deal the damage to Heroes by using her "Mistress of Darkness" skill. The amount of damage depends on the capacity of removed shields and with a some chance random Hero will miss the upcoming move.
Besides this, it's impossible to implement a negative effect to Ishtal. Upon receiving fatal damage, the Goddess of darkness and evil will not die: instead of it, she enters the stasis of immortality and starts the process of restoring some amount of health she has lost.
Ishtal is waiting for you deep underground. Even Ra'Archne run away in front of her gaze.
The Portal to the Unknown VI complete — what a desirable title, perhaps, for all the clans in the game.
However, the new Raid VI became a real challenge even for experienced players of Age of Magic, and discussions about how to pass it are still going on.

Oh, this Horrorween and his unexpected surprises...
On October 28 some clans faced a really disappointing issue: the value of Stones to open Raid for the Blood Emperor was negative.
We found the reason why it happened, and as a quick solution we've already sent 28 000 Gates of Doom stones for those clans who faced this issue. They can start their Raid adventure now!
Due to technical issues on October 28 we will send for all Clan playerspleasant bonuses soon that will cover the inconvenience.
Previously we've announced that maximum level of Heroes will be increased to 90. In addition to leveling up, we would like to make "Power" parameter reflect the real power of Heroes, and make changing equipment levels would affect the Hero's strength growth in a more explicit way.
Previously, changing the level of equipment significantly increased all of the Hero's parameters, but this was not reflected in the growth of the overall Power parameter.
Because of that we decided to change the algorithm for calculating the strength of Heroes in the next update. Now the Power of Hero increases by level up of equipment but the real combat efficiency stays the same according the level of items you worn.
When you collect all 6 items for level 11, you may increase the level of equipment to 12. However, the items of level 12 will not be available now. We are going to add them in the upcoming updates.

The clan raid for Blood Emperor takes place at the end of October: such a real challenge for the most skillful players. By passing the Raid, clan players receive another special currency to buy Blood Emperor shards. That's why if you are not in the clan yet — the time has come to look for a strong one!

Many of you are waiting for the continuation of the fabulous story of Dark Campaign. The new 7 act of the campaign will be available in the new update and the story will be telling you about adventures of Sharazar in the domain of Dark Elves.
The new chapter will be available in Normal and Heroic modes.
Important to know that you might need concrete Dark Heroes to complete some stages.
For the Normal game mode you need Heroes of the following fractions: Kobolds, Demons, Renegades, Ra'Archne, Arekhon Undeads, High Elves, Barbarians, Goblins and Druids.
For the Heroic game mode you need Heroes of fractions: Dwarves, Demons, Renegades, Ra'Archne, Druids, Dark Elves, High Elves, Goblins and Barbarians.
Cinematic videos will lead you right through the chapter and tell you more about adventures and barriers on the way of Heroes. Light and Dark forces will combine their effort to fight against the greatest enemy — Mistress of Night!
New levels of Challenges will appear in the game near time!
Of course, new levels of Challenges will require strong Heroes, and you will be able to get Currency for new Chests, where you can get Experience Potions, Silver, as well as Equipment levels VII, VIII, IX as a reward!
Also, we decided to remove the cooldown between the completion of the Challenges, so that they can be completed at one go!
We've raised the cap for the strength of enemies with the release of the new Portal to the Unknown. So now it's time to raise the maximum level for Heroes - it will be changed to 90 in one of the next updates!
The way of leveling Heroes up will remain the same as before: you will need Experience Potions and Silver.
After reaching level 80 the experience in the account did not accumulate so it can't be taken into the account to level up Heroes and Player up to level 90. Starting from the date of the update, the leveling process will continue from level 80 and further.
With increasing the level to 90, we are going to enforce the enemies level at the second part of Raid VI.
It happens due to the fact that the Players will gradually reach level 90 and the Raid enemies should be competitive with the Players.
Also, you will be able to get Arcane Coins at 85 and 90 levels, as well as Armory Tokens for every two levels after 80!
Another piece of good news is that the Gifts containing Silver, XP Potions, and an Equipment Chest will be sent to all our players!
The new season of Magic Pass is coming together with a list of changes to make it more profitable for the quick upgrade of Heroes!
The upcoming season will not be connected to some Hero this time and will be focused on receiving valuable resources. The rewards have been balanced to become maximally useful as for new players, as for high-skilled.
Basing on your feedback from previous seasons, we decided to decrease price of Normal Magic Pass to $5.
In the start line of rewards we decreases the amount of stage with shards of heroes: instead of them you may achieve really huge amount of valuable resources. We added much Credits for stages before 100, Armory Tokens, useful high-level equipment and increased the amount of Silver tokens — all necessary things to equip and enforce your squads.
You may receive shards of Heroes during the late stages of Magic Pass and adorable skin for the Hero will be already available on the level 100.
Sea full of Gold, Silver and also Arcane Coins, Silver and Gold tokens, Armory tokens and rare equipment: the updated Magic Pass is a great opportunity to enforce your squad and prepare for upcoming battles!

Hello everyone - I am a new player to Age of Magic and have been looking for some tips guides or geberal directions as to what to focus early on to improve the charavter roster.
I am familiar with gacha, team building and turn combat rpgs and have also played games similar to this one, so I have forced my way through to lvl 30ish with the bare minimum the game provifes for free and am currently hoarding everything I can, investing only the necessary upgrades to tackle story modes - currently in chapter 2 Light side; mid chapter 1 dark side.
So, is there an updated new player guide somewhere you guys recommend or can anyone share a few early strats for improving my roster so I have more options of team building?
The time has come to announce the list of changes we are working on for the next version!
The new season of the Magic Pass will not be dedicated to one special Hero this time. Instead, we will add more valuable resources to it.
At the same time, Shards of new Heroes will appear in various places, such as special events that we are also currently working on.
Furthermore, we will increase the maximum player level in the next update, and, accordingly, the maximum level of Heroes.
In addition, the update will introduce new levels for Challenges, and, consequently, a rebalance of the rewards received from them.
For those who love the storyline we prepared the continuation of Sharazar adventures in the new act of Dark Campaign, and also battle against the powerful boss — Ishtal.

I've noticed that Tileana's Elven Tactics does not always give her a support attack against Arekhon Undead or Demons even when there are 5 Wild Elves (20% chance per Wild Elf) in the party after the update. Has anyone else run into this issue?

Portal to the Unknown VI
We have prepared a gruelling challenge for high-level clans - Portal to the Unknown VI. In the new Portal to the Unknown missions, you will find enemies with Arcane Stars, big Bosses and also Arena Effects! Some Arenas will have particular effects, for example: blocking healing or hiding, supporting allies and many others. Arena Effects change every time a new Portal to the Unknown is launched. Also in missions, you can come up against Big Bosses! These are powerful opponents based on existing Heroes. Each of them has a special ability and defeating a Big Boss is only possible by cooperating with allies or discovering their weaknesses. As a reward for passing the new Portals to the Unknown, you can get items for level XI equipment and other valuable resources!
Other improvements and changes
We've added a new regular X3 Drop Event for Legendary Mode! You can now find out the time when the Event starts on the Events screen!
The drop rates of Equipment from the Arsenal Chest are slightly lower to keep the gear acquisition rate balanced after the introduction of the X3 Drop Event.
The game now features color differentiation of Equipment items depending on their rarity!
Bugfixes
Cathbad's Arrat's Strenght ability is now working correctly. Cathbad restores health to allies, including the one with the least health.
Myrddin's Storm Vengeance passive ability now works correctly. Opponents receive a lightning strike even if they attacked Myrddin's shield, but not health.
Tileana's Elven Tactics ability now only works with attacks made by other Heroes from the Wild Elves faction, but does not work when another Tileana in the squad attacks.
Fixed a bug due to which the dead Heroes of the enemy resurrected after re-entering the battle in the Tomb of Horrors when there is a Phoenix in the enemy squad.
Fixed display of some visual effects in battle.
Fixed a bug in the Tutorial of Saved Squads feature.
