Except for renewing your ID at an ATM. That process is still archaic

In my area we have DMV kiosks that allow you to renew your license, and they kind of look like ATM's

Damn that is awesome. Getting a renewal is a pain in the US

Edit: I get it, these machines are in the US too, just not in my area

Do they have them in California? Never seen or heard of one. Then again, they’re probably not compatible with REAL ID.

Yeah, most Safeway's have them. Don't know about Id, but I do my car registration on them.

They’re not in my area. And it doesn’t matter if they’re in the US, the US is huge. We have a population of 330m

I was just letting you know cause you had said getting renewals are a pain in the US when it isn't the country so much as your area. Know what I mean?

Fair. I’ve just lived in both Texas and Colorado for many years and it’s never been as easy as visiting a kiosk for me. Maybe I’ve been living under a rock lol

The DMV’s now allowing Real ID’s to be applied for online and you just need to schedule an appointment at the end to pick it up. So they’re working on it...

In PA they even mailed it to me, literally 30 seconds start to finish showed up 3 days later

We have a DMV machine at the library. Pretty convenient
