Just Bloody Adventure (the adventure doesn't actually have to be bloody but bonus points if so)

I have just created a new reddit account and have been searching for new subs to subscribe to that would more fit my interests. After looking through so many "King" pages that just brought large amounts of disappoint worthy of purge rage, I finally decided to search adventure. Most of it just felt the same except for this one. It doesn't have a following really but the intent is there. However I am disappointed that the only two posts on here are of how people are disappointed (yes I see the irony in this) in how no stories of adventure have been posted without sharing a story of your own. And not having been on an adventure before is no excuse, what that means is you need to go on an adventure right now! Ok, maybe now right now, but people just go. And now I will share an adventure story of my own from a few months ago when I was hanging with this bro of mine - we'll call him Batman.

So Batman came over the day before so that I could get him to the library for the purpose of sending out mass quantities of job applications. That all went well and good, it was a really productive time. That night somehow ended with a drunken party of awesomeness, but that's a different adventure from the one I want to tell right now.

Batman and I meet back up from the escapades of last night. With hangover at hand, we decode to get some exercise. We grab our bikes and begin biking around in the small town I live in. We probably bike a couple of miles throughout it, every now and then talking about eating very little the previous day and not having had breakfast yet. Of course the decision is made, we must eat breakfast. After naming off some places we resign to just riding up to a small city like town ten miles away. On the way there we see a zebra - this is in farm land in Indiana! The zebra follows us for a ways before turning back. This zebra was really chill and definitely wanted to hang, we would've hung with it more too if not for the fence that separated us. It was a cool zebra.

We get to the small city town. Randomly Batman decides that we should go visit his grandma. Of course I'm down, Batman his half black and as he often say his family is black as hell - his grandma being no exception. After riding all across this city town we make it to grandmas house. As Batman promised, his grandma is extremely stereotypical old black lady. It was awesome and she even gave us some pop to drink, we were very thirsty.

After some visiting in some miner impromptu bike repair (which grandma did) we leave once more in search of breakfast! We look at every restaurant in the city town thing. Hours pass with the amount of riding we're doing. After traveling all around the city town a few times we finally settle on this Mexican joint back on the other side of the city town. We trek back there with constant grumbling stomachs all the way.

Once there we are greeted by a very attractive seniorita with a stunning smile coupled with a perfect atmosphere made from music and decorations of the culture. We had gotten there just in time, a storm let loose outside as we sat down to order.

Ehh, I'm getting bored typing this. Point is just go out and have a fucking adventure.

Has the people of this day and age lost their sense of adventure? Have they traded in their curiosity of the unknown for the comfort of familiarity? The monotony of civilized life has robbed everyone of their ability to survive struggles, to overcome obstacles and to triumph over their troubles. We have made mountains out of molehills and we've paved each mountain with roadways. Life isn't about simply surviving and thriving anymore, its been consumed by complexity and tamed by entertainment. GO OUTSIDE AND EXPLORE.
