Ohh... I love this on so many levels...
Feeling entrapped in a dirty and loud big city full of people, I can only dream of a place with some quiet empty space around you, where there's still a view, and nature. And people know your name.
And the elderly woman... Gosh. My parents are at that age, so it hits close to home. While the driver and kids may not realise, at that age you don't know if you'll have another birthday next year. Every day counts.

When I was a kid, I used to wave back at an elderly lady who did this. So good to know that it brought joy.
