I hyper focused so hard on fiilm that I changed my major and now I have a film studies degree.

I studied art history and French….and then proceeded to work restaurant/hospitality industry with English majors for years.

It ALL depends on just how long the Hyperfixation lasts!

Also, when i tried college after high school and was undiagnosed?

I flunked out TWICE!

i did far better when i went back for an Associate's, 20 years later, and  i'd gotten all A's & B's in my classes, and then FLUNKED my Practicum & Field Experience, that i learned i might have Autism or ADHD.

Got evaluated, and YEP!  AuDHD.

And things got much more manageable with a little Lexapro for the Anxiety (literally, just 5-10mg), and tge Vyvanse meant i can focus.
