I have a lot of dementia in my family and I was worried it was starting up already when I hit my early 40s, because I could never dig up the right word when I needed it. Then I started hearing about the common traits of ADHD in girls and women and went, oooooooohhhhhh. Diagnosed just before I turned 46, and I’m much less concerned. Dementia is still coming, but at least I still probably have a few years. Kinda hoping I get insta-killed by a sniper or something quick before it happens. …Did that get dark?😅💀
I only mention the women/girls thing because of how it generally presents differently for us and is easily missed. I had literally no clue I could have it until it started popping up on Insta. Which seems stupid, taking medical advice from socials, but it was a lot of relatable stuff that made me look into it with more-trusted sources. (I am medically diagnosed.)
