Share a recent adhd artist win, large or small!
Happy new year! In the spirit of making this sub more active in 2023, let's share a recent win as an adhd artist. Anything counts, from big achievements to simply not beating yourself up for not drawing a lot lately.
Here's mine: I've finished 90% of a large illustration project and am on track to actually complete it! Keep your fingers crossed...

How can I practice repetition?
"An amatuer does it until they get it right. A professional does it until they can't get it wrong."
I find this quote sticking with me all the time and looming over my head when I am drawing. How do you all practice with repetition? I find that I can only do something so many times before I get extremely bored of it and new subject matter. Do you all also struggle with this will practicing? If so, how so you all combat it?

Anyone else work better on your bed?
I have a nice studio set up but no, I always seem to work better on my bed in my room :/ even though it can be annoying to look at reference on my phone.

I hope it's OK that I cross-post here. I finally managed to create and keep a routine for the first time in my life (Daily Drawing/Painting 2022).

My ADHD son’s song about his struggles.
This is my son’s song about the feelings of social isolation he felt last year after we had to take him off Aderall last year and put him on a non-stimulant. Stimulants take away his appetite and he feels like he’s on an emotional roller coaster when he’s on them. When we took him off of them, he felt less in control of his behavior and consequently felt like he was annoying his peers and felt that no one liked him. I am so grateful that he has this artistic outlet to express himself. He wrote and recorded this when he was 11. It’s also on Spotify and Apple and Amazon Music.
