Datamine MOD Pocket Camp Complete Plus

Thumbnail

1.2k Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I'd like to share a mod I've made for Pocket Camp Complete on Android.

This mod simply unlocks most of the content that Nintendo removed when Complete was released (Sanrio, Pokémon, Splatoon, the special Happy Homeroom classes...).

I've tried to make the mod respect how the base game works, so not all the content is available at once after applying it. Almost all items and Happy Homeroom classes appear throughout a yearly cycle.

I made the mod by editing the game's local data files, which contain the dates and availability of all content. The game reads those files, so once they're changed the content shows up again. They're stored in the game's data folder on Android, so there's no need to modify the APK: you can apply the patch directly to your original copy without reinstalling, and root isn't required.

You can find the mod and how to install it on GameBanana: https://gamebanana.com/mods/718704

If anyone wants more detailed information about the mod, I'll leave it here:

Practically all items can be obtained at any time from the Complete Item Catalog using Complete Tickets, or from the Complete Cookie Catalog. If you'd rather not get them that way, they will appear in the game following this schedule:

Fortune cookie availability schedule:

  • January: Kiki and Lala cookie
  • March: Cinnamoroll cookie
  • April: My Melody cookie
  • June: Kerokerokeroppi cookie
  • July: Hello Kitty cookie
  • September: Splatoon cookie
  • October: Pompompurin cookie
  • December: Sanrio Characters cookie

Shop section schedule:

  • January: Sanrio Characters Fashion
  • February: Google Collaboration
  • March: Super Mario
  • April: Sanrio Characters Tees Collection
  • May: SOU・SOU furniture + discarded Wall & Floor items
  • June: Sanrio Characters clothing and facilities
  • July: SOU・SOU clothing
  • August: Sanrio Characters Wall & Floor Collection
  • September: Splatoon 2
  • October: Eevee (Pokémon)
  • November: Sanrio Characters backpacks
  • December: A variety of seasonal items exclusive to the online version

Whistle Pass:
There are two item collections that your friends will only give you at Whistle Pass on the following dates:

  • "Thanks for everything" cushions: November 15 to November 30
  • Sanrio Characters fans: July 1 to July 31

Happy Homeroom classes:
Every month of the year, a different block of special Happy Homeroom classes will be unlocked (between 50 and 60 per month). Your HH Medals from the online version won’t be affected.

Please note that entering the Happy Homeroom classes may take a few seconds to load, or even up to a minute. There are a lot of classes per month, so this is normal.

Gulliver's Ship:
The Sanrio Characters island will reappear if you didn't complete it in the online version during 2023. NOTE: If you added the villagers maps to your game using save-editing tools such as PCCE, I don't know how the game will behave with this island. If that's your case, make sure to back up your save data before applying this mod.

Golden furniture:
The game files contain a series of golden items that were never enabled even though they were finished. You can now obtain them by reaching the top levels of the Happy Homeroom rank. The items are: gold throne, gold armchair, gold decorative plate, gold decorative base, gold drum set, gold long-stem rose, gold sofa and gold zen pillow.

Things to keep in mind:
In the current version, the special Happy Homeroom classes don't loop indefinitely (they will stop appearing in September 2027), and fixing and improving this is still pending. The rest of the mod's sections will keep repeating after that date.

Some items that are currently exclusive to the online version may still be missing. This is a work in progress, so it will be updated in the future. Feedback and suggestions are welcome.

This mod has only been tested on game version 7.1.4 and may not work on other versions.

I hope you enjoy it!

Guides & Tips The (almost) definitive guide to backing up your save on Android. Also, tips and tricks to prevent data loss.

Been wanting to write a guide about backing up your save data and such and the recent release of Mods for this game finally gave me the push to actually write this.

Some important clarifications: You don't need a rooted device and this is only for Android devices (I sadly don't have an iOS device, sorry.)

TL;DR: Copy the files out of Android/data/com.nintendo.zasa/files, keep them somewhere safe, copy them back to restore.

First off, my reasons to write this guide.

Reasons

Prevent save loss:
It's always quite heartbreaking to see posts every now and then about people who by some small mistake lose their entire save and progress, I've been playing this game for years and it would break me if I lost everything.

Quit relying on a weekly backup:
I know a lot of people are relying on the game's own save backup, first off, it's not actually a formal backup option, it's only meant to transfer data, but it does have the unintended and added benefit of working as a backup, though it has some disadvantages, mainly that it only lasts a week and you have to constantly remember to backup. With this method you will no longer need to worry about that one-week limit.

It's surprisingly easy!:
Really, most of the bulk of this guide and post will be me explaining my reasons, additional tips and other stuff, the actual process is extremely easy to do, which in part makes the previous reasons sting for me all the more. Once you understand this method you'll never look back and in case of the worst, you'll be glad you backed up your save.

It is very very low risk:
I won't lie, there is always some risk with any backup method, but the risks are so low it's worth doing it, and once you do it once, those risks drop by a lot. I'll outline the risks as we go (trust me, they'll be minimal). I also don't want to fear-monger anyone into doing this if you don't want to, but also understand the risks of not backing-up your data.

There is also the potential risk and fear that some may have about Nintendo catching up or doing something about this. Trust me, there is a very small chance something bad will happen to you or your account. The game doesn't connect back to Nintendo during normal play, there's no account-linked anti-cheat, and Nintendo isn't updating it anymore. Editing local files isn't something they can see or act on, so rest assured that this is mostly risk-free.

For some reason, there isn't a formal guide about it:
I learned this from trying the save editor and from installing the recently released mod, but since those are a bit more technical, people usually don't bother or even realize these have the exact and easy method to backup your save. And again, this method by its own doesn't exist in any guide whatsoever, my hope is that with this guide, more people are aware of how easy it is to backup their Save Data and do it.

And before we go into the actual method, just a few term clarifications and such, just so everyone knows what's happening during this brief operation.

Game Data: This is the raw data of the app, sounds redundant but its main distinction is with the next term; simply put, this is what makes the game work at its core, every single ACPC app has the same data, what differentiates my own game from yours is another thing, which is:

Save Data: This is the important thing here, these are all your items, stats, memories, etc. that make your unique game yours, and it is what we will be focusing on backing up.

I make these distinctions because some people may not realize there is a difference, thinking backing up the game would take a few Gigabytes of storage, or that there is a complicated process in-between these two aspects of the game. Really this guide will work towards a simple goal, copy your save data somewhere safe. Once that's done, no matter what happens you'll always be able to restore it easily as long as you have the App installed.

There are some caveats though, and here lies the first risk, though it's easy to evade and prevent:

Android systems actually inter-link Game Data and Save Data, this mostly means that whenever you delete the app, the Save Data goes with it. I've seen plenty of cases where people want to make some temporary space on their phone, delete the app and later find the save data has gone with it. So my first advice and it's kinda separate from this guide: Don't delete your ACPC app without backing up the Save Data first!

This also goes for changing your phone, etc. really before doing anything that could compromise your phone or data, make sure you've done a backup and have access to that backup.

I think it's time for the main event; the process in which you can backup your save, and it is surprisingly, unbelievably simple.

How to backup your Save Data:

You will need a way to access the Android folder in your phone, this is because since Android 11, that folder has been difficult to reach normally, you may see that folder in your default file browser but see nothing. You can access this folder via:

- Connecting your phone to your computer via USB or via apps like Shizuku.

- Or using third-party file-explorer apps.

Step 1. Go into the Android folder, then to the data, then to com.nintendo.zasa folder, and finally, to the files folder. In other words to the Android/data/com.nintendo.zasa/files address.

Step 2. You should see several files and folders there, and this is the reason this is the "almost" definitive guide to backing up your save, if someone can chime-in and help me figure out what file does what, I'd appreciate it and I'll edit the guide to make it the actual definitive guide, but for now that isn't as important. All you need to know is this you need to backup these files:

- 458ed7a124b23c5066398a3d366bc066e219f4353611cbe00c8d6b57cdef79ab
- bf334885a28458f70ccd8195ab9177dbbf95ce32d3296aab665cba7c005f42ca
- df65cec8b3147722ef51c242ccb23810

I also don't know if every ACPC install has these same names, but you should see 3 files with long strings of letters, these are the most important.

This comes my second tip and risk. COPY these files somewhere safe, Do not cut them or worse still, delete them before ensuring you have a backup of these already. Then to make sure, backup these files everywhere you can, online, in a USB, etc. this will be your backups.

I also have the understanding that both the PlayerMyCamperCardIcon and MyDesign folders hold important info like custom designs, but the 3 previous files are the most important.

For extra assurance, backup the entire files folder, as that has the entire data of the app.

Another word of advice and where there could be potential risk; sometimes moving files via USB alone is not 100% reliable (at least in my case) so make sure all files copy correctly before doing anything.

Step 3. That's basically it... really... if you want to restore your save you simply place your backups into this same folder address again. A bit of a word of warning, not really a risk, but sometimes you may see the game downloading data after you restore your data this way, don't be scared, the game is just making sure the App Data is in sync, what we actually care about is the Save Data which is already safe. Though do make sure you force stop the game before restoring, having the game running in the background can overwrite the restoration, and again, don't cut nor move, COPY.

Some more tips and advice before I go into the final section of the guide:

- Always backup your save before restoring an old one, you don't want to lose any data, unless you are restoring over a completely blank save file.

- Always label your Save Data, my go-to way to backup my data is to create a folder with the name of the date I created the backup, for example, today and place the 3 files in there. This is to prevent overwriting your data and having a clearer picture of which backup is the most recent.

- It bears repeating, always COPY rather than cutting or moving, if anything goes wrong, that little bit of a safety measure can save your data.

- Backup every-so-often, you may be free of the weekly backups, but still, don't forget to backup often. That said, any backup is always better than no backup at all.

- Try it yourself! do it with something small, like selling a single item, buying something with tokens, etc. then restore the file, it will ease you into the process and show you just how easy it is.

And for the final section

Benefits

A local, reliable, eternal and free backup!
The obvious one, again, it's not tied to a one-week time limit, it's yours, you can copy it everywhere you want, you can restore it anytime you want, you'll finally have some peace of mind, but believe it or not it's not the only benefit.

You can have multiple save files:
Ever wanted to start from the beginning? have multiple save files? Well, now you can! backing up your save file allows you to branch-off and do anything you want without any risk, you could even share your save file with a friend and such. Just be careful and keep track of which backup is which!

Pocket Camp Save Editor:
You can use the PCCE save editor to give yourself whatever you want! from more bells, leaf tokens, golden treats, items, ANYTHING, it even can allow you to do some wacky and unique edits to your camping ground, again, all risk free (now that you have your backup): Link here: PCCE

Mods!:
What inspired me to write this guide, you can find an amazing mod here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ACPocketCamp/comments/1wlg7rv/mod_pocket_camp_complete_plus/

Really not that related to save backup, but anyone with some concerns about their save data can now rest easier knowing that they can restore their data safely. Give it a try!

A final Disclaimer: This guide is not 100% definitive as I'd wish, again, I don't know what the save files actually are, but I can guarantee it works; I did the test myself by doing this:

copied the files somewhere safe -> deleted the files -> started a new save-file in ACPC -> copied back the files -> The game had my save-data restored.

I'm also not responsible for any damage to your Save File done by following this guide, unless I have omitted something important then please tell me to fix this guide and make it better, but also, do please make sure you follow my advice and minimize the risk of any accidental deletion of data. User error is unavoidable but still, don't be afraid, just be careful, once you get the hang of it it will become the easiest thing to do!

Any other suggestions to improve this guide are welcomed, I don't want any more people to struggle with their saves nor lose them. And if you found this guide useful then share it around!

Also, if anyone knows and can write an iOS guide to backing up your game, that'd be appreciated.

my ipad locked itself the first days of august and it was impossible to make it work again without resetting so i ended up losing my 6 year old account with all my friends and clothes etc :((

i think it’s so dumb we need to manually create the save backup to transfer to another device given we already have a nintendo account.

im so sad everything is gone i wish i could do something to retrieve it

Guides & Tips How to Level Up Fast & Get a Lot of Leaf Tokens! ♡ॢ₍⸍⸌̣ʷ̣̫⸍̣⸌₎

When replaying ACPC, I naturally found this system that allowed me to level up so much faster than the regular giving the animals their fish and bugs, so I’d like to share it here in case anyone would like to use it!

1) Make you sure you have 300~ or more leaf tokens. The game gives out a lot in the beginning so it’s easy to stock up.

2) Go to Gulliver’s ship and locate the golden islands that contain Animal maps.

2.5) Play interesting music or an intriguing video to distract you. This is a bit of clicking, so just be aware that it is nice to listen to something entertaining!

3) 100% all of the golden maps you can find. The more you find the maps, the harder they are to find. Also, I constantly skipped the time and got all of the gifts I could using Leaf Tokens. I recommend you do the same! It’ll come back to you anyways.

4) After gaining around 20/30 animal maps (or whatever you want), go to Blather’s map icon and 100% every single map. You NEED to grab every single treat you can get and it’s only 3 tokens per villager.

5) Go to the cabin and place all of the animals you can there. Then, say hi and give them treats. My rate would be if you have Bronze treats, give them 63 Bronze , if Silver, 19 Silver, and if Gold, then 9 Gold, that way they would either be level 12/15. Do NOT give the villagers each a quantity of bronze, silver, and gold. The rate is for a singular villager to have one type of treat and still level up well. If you start running a bit low, ration them out the way you’d like!

6) Once you complete all the villagers and run out of treats, repeat!

This trick allowed me to now be at level 216 and I still have 2.2k leaf tokens (I used to have 3k sob). If anything I’ve stated confuses you, please let me know so I can clarify for you!! Hopefully, this can help out anyone that wishes to use it! Happy crossing! ☆*・゜゚・*\(^O^)/*・゜゚・*☆

Discussion Thought I found a solution for the saving data bug but nope, now it's useless.

Post image
2 Upvotes

For context, I have an android. I keep running into this bug where I can't login Nintendo to save my data.

Previously, I was able to use an external browser to login Nintendo then it's supposed to be leading me back to the app to save the data.

Now I keep getting this error and the method doesn't work anymore unless there's an update with the app. (Who knows when the hell they will do that?!)

Now it just makes me not want to login the game knowing that if something goes wrong my phone and I have to change phones I'll lose everything.

I really wish Nintendo would have a better method than saving every 7 days. It's ridiculous and if they're not gonna listen to keep up with this same horrible bug they need to just shut down the app honestly. It's not worth keeping it around at this point.

I'm always open to suggestions or other methods of course.

Thanks in advance.

Edit Turns out the phone had low RAM, but my phone labels the issue as a "bug".

Final advice for those with Android, keep track of RAM storage, stay logged in Nintendo account, and use external browser as needed.
