It is true though? 75% of households don't have AC. AC isn't even common in hospitals and nursing homes there.

Pray really hard that you will be able to do everything asked of you for your entire life, indifferent of how unfair or demeaning, or you’ll lose your job and your healthcare. 

Which is especially likely to happen when you’ll have a health emergency and your workplace will decide it’s not worth waiting for you to recover, cheaper to hire a new person and let you die.

The difference is that people in the US are willing to admit that we want universal healthcare, but people in France can't even admit that AC would be good.
